I’ve been wanting to visit this place for some time now. Originally, this was supposed to be a sister restaurant of one located on Washington and Eppinger Street. La Patrona is a theme restaurant promoting women’s sense of self-worth. All of its decor and color schemes are promoting girl power. It’s cute, but it kind of looks like a preteens bedroom. The menu had a wide variety of choices. The pizza birra was original. We ordered the birria tacos, frijioles charros, and the camarones a la diabla (deviled shrimp) an agua fresca de cucumber/lime and a fountain soft drink. The shrimp was served on a massive 18″ plate. The tacos and beans were top-notch. The aguas fresca was too watered down (no pun intended,) the soda was flat. The shrimp plate was very good. It came with Spanish jasmine rice, refried beans, and a very large portion of shrimp, with fresh flour tortillas. The beans had chicharrones on top (pork rinds.). My wife didn’t really care for that. The service was okay. I asked the server to explain the tabletop mural. It had Shakira and a slogan stating, “Women don’t cry, women cash in.” Reluctantly, she explained that it was a song of the artist, but it went with their theme.
At one point, the table next to us had a family of four. Everyone got their food at separate times. One was halfway into their meal while another was still waiting for their’s. That was troubling to watch. We spent about $35 per person. The restaurant is very congested. They have a massive bar that nobody sits at, and tables all clumped together. I still highly recommend visiting, but it’s pricey, so I can’t see anyone being a regular. If you’re an alcohol drinker, they have a large selection of spirits, just be prepared to pay thru the nose.

From the moment we stepped inside La Patrona Mexican Restaurant, we were welcomed by a nice atmosphere, clean surroundings, and good music. Our waitress was super friendly, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.
We drive about 30 minutes to get here because of the great reviews we saw, and they were not wrong. The food was fantastic, and the service was top-notch. Highly recommend it to others!

So delicious! Guacamole is on point! We shared quesabirrias and a pizza birria. That is a full size pizza. Don’t let the picture on the menu fool you. Strawberry-mango Aqua Fresca was sweet but not overly sweet. We will be back again. Good thing is it a bit of a drive or I may be there several times a week. The staff was friendly and the owner, Kasey (sp?) Stopped by to check on us and asked about our experience. Keep kicking a$$ boss lady! See you soon so we can taste test more deliciousness!

Was so excited to try this place. Plates had leftover food on them service was okay. The food was terrible chicken so dry, asada was the worst cut. Came of the birria egg rolls was extremely disappointed. 120.00 dollars later not one thing was worth it. Tik Tok lied.

Came here on a Sunday evening and it wasn’t busy at all. Tried the birria options they offered and they were amazing! All of the food we ordered was good, the birria ramen, birria tacos and gordibuenas de birria, boyfriend even got trepas tacos and he loved them! We even got the pizza birria to go, so family can try it! All in all, I would go back again just for the birria alone!
I’m only giving 4 stars because I did not try the basics like rice, beans, chile…I absolutely need to come back to try! The total for the food we ordered was around $70 for two of us. Pricey, however we did order the most filling items and they were worth every cent! Definitly getting a lot for what you spend!

I’m extremely disappointed!! I have been looking forward to trying this place for a while now, but I always put it off due to the prices. They are pretty high. Tonight, I tried to give it a go, and I was totally let down…. The first problem is I ordered vegetarian fajitas… FOR $22!! Seeing that it was $22, I expected a beautiful, large portion of a nice variety of vegetables. Instead, I got a small pile of peppers onions and an equally small portion of steak. A small portion of refried beans and a clump of Spanish rice. No tortillas. There are no toppings for the fajitas, like lettuce, tomatos, sour cream, or anything. NOTHING. I also got a stuffed chili relleno. Which was actually a mushy chili with cheese and multiple stems inside. Dipped in bread crumbs and pan-fried. Then it’s smothered in what I can only describe as marinara sauce. Basically, it’s a chili patty parmesaen. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because the service was quick and arrived faster than expected. With all of the other amazing mexican restaurants close by, I definitely will not be returning…

I seen this place on tik tok. Asked for a few items shown but they didn’t have it. Like the chicharrones and guac, they had no lemonade or ice cream for the churro cart.
We ordered quesabirrias, and those were delicious however they had too much fat. The salsa was not spicy. The asada tacos were a little dry. It’s not the worst but i dont think it is worth the hype. One thing i did like was the customer service our waitress was super friendly and attentive.

Food was amazing and customer service was on point. I also read some of the earlier reviews months ago and it looks like it was just a learning curve they have improved 100%. Food didn’t take long to come to us the wait staff definitely checked on us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. This was our second visit will be many more to come. Mucho gracias to Sol,Josue,Paulina and Keissy.
