We are staying at D&D, and decided that we wanted to spread the love and eat out one evening. We had a quick look on Google and noticed this restaurant had some good recent reviews.
We have just finished our meal, and it was one of the best we have eaten in the whole of Central America! Our waiter was a gem, the restaurant is decorated so nicely and the food was absolutely fantastic.
We enjoyed pinchos mixtos and lomo de res. We were asked if we wanted them “tipico” style or with just vegetables. We took one of each, and it was the best! It was wonderful to have a plate full of vegetables as well as some meat – flavours and presentation were on point and the portions were huge!
We were offered a complimentary flautas starter, which was so delicious.
We had a nice chat (in my terrible Spanish) with our waiter too.
All in all, a really wonderful evening!

I’m about exploration and adventure when on a trip, but literally all my cenas/dinners were at Nahun! Such great food
It’s a short (and safe) walk from D&D Brewery (a good place for your homebase) and you’ll be rewarded with amazing food and hospitality. Nahun cares about his guests, and that you can also taste
Even though I was there 3 evenings in a row the (included!) side dishes were different each time ️
You’ll walk (or motorbike) into a kind of suburban neighbourhood, that’s the place and once inside it’s this garden oasis of food and hospitality
So when on your Lago Yojoa trip after a day of great exploration: head to Nahum for dinner.
He’s also friends with IVO’s cafe so perfect afternoon itenarary would be: have a coffee at IVO’s wander through the little towns and have dinner at Nahun and to top it off, enjoy the drinks and campfire at D&D.

Best food we’ve had in Peña Blanca!!! The meat was so tender; the refried beans, cheese and side dishes were absolutely delicious. Hands down the best option here.

What an amazing place! The food was so tasty and so reasonably priced! Nahun is also so friendly and welcoming we will definitely be returning and recommending to anyone staying in the area!

We ate here 2 out of 3 nights in Lake Yojoa! It was my fave restaurant in Central America so far (we have been here over a month!)
