They had a great menu that was reasonably priced… Especially for a tourist town. The staff were awesome and the place has a great atmosphere. The meal was cooked perfectly to order. I apologize for taking bites out of my plate before taking the picture. BTW, my steak was ordered Med Rare and there was more shrimp than what is shown.

We walked in here because the restaurant we were hoping to go to was mysteriously closed (small town). It was a great place. Nice and clean. A great variety of foods to pick from and wow were the portions huge. I got half a Chicken Cesar salad and it looked like a whole. Pic is included when I was more than half way through eating it. I also got the BBQ fries, they were great! Hubby got the Bucket’s BBQ Bacon Burger. No words, just look at the pic. Overall 5 stars would go back again and again.

First time in and had great service and burgers. If your getting the full order, be prepared to do some hiking to burn it off. The drinks were cold and tasty. The atmosphere was what would expect in a small town saloon.

Eleven of us spent several hours in the Stubborn Mule in Joseph this afternoon.
Favorite drinks all around, well except for the DD’s.
Our server gladly positioned two gathering height six tops together for our party.
Conversations were lively, although the music was very loud.
Everything from Cod baskets, Beef and Cheddar Sans, Club Sans, Burgers and Salads were ordered and served.
Nicole our server was attentive, Gary the Owner and Chief Chef had the kitchen staff hopping, seemed like hardly any time passed and lunch was served.
Every entrée was perfectly prepared, everyone was happy.

Great service..excellent food.. Seating inside in the dining room. Or sit out side and enjoy the fresh air.. the Blackberry raspberry Blended margarita are delicious. I had the stubborn smothered chicken which was delicious covered with green onions and garlic and cheese and then the loaded baked potato yum yum yum.. when you walk in you’ll see a tank that has 5 Turtles swimming around it that are very friendly and are eager to meet you

My girlfriend had a drink of my root beer so the waiter charged us for two even though I only got 1 refill. I’d understand if I kept getting refills, but I only got 1 and we barely shared. Weird. I’ll go somewhere else next time I’m in Joseph. And the Mac and cheese was bland. Burgers were pretty good though.

The burgers and sandwiches were real good, buffalo wings were average, nice and friendly staff and customers. Despite there being multiple TVs in the bar area, most of which were not being watched, they wouldn’t put one TV on NFL when I asked because according to our server, the ‘Boss Man’ in the kitchen doesn’t like NFL. So I guess that means paying customers can’t watch any NFL games at this establishment in order to protect Boss Man’s wittle feewings… lol.
