This was our first time here & we are so glad we stopped by. The customer service was amazing. Before we even sat down we were greeted with some chicken tacos to try. They even came by our table with more before our food arrived. Everyone was super friendly & went about and beyond. The food was even more amazing. Everything is homemade and authentic. Great portions and good prices.It was some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. We will definitely be back again when we’re in the area.

Good food and clean environment. Easy to find on a Main Street in Watertown. Parking is available in the lot adjacent to the restaurant and on the street. Food tasted fresh and delicious. The wait times are reasonable. The staff was friendly. The tortillas tasted like they are hand made, unlike most other places. The cabeza and lengua tacos are awesome. An order comes with 4 tacos. Kids meals are good too. Recommended

Food is incredibly delicious! I came here with my family (10 of us) and they accommodated us comfortably. The service was excellent and genuine. At the end of our meals, they offered us churros on the house which were rich and creamy. 10/10 Recommendation!

I had low expectations, having just recently had Mexican food in Southern California, but the food at Plazita is great. I had the birria and carne asada tacos, the birria being particularly good, cheezy, greasy, and flavourful. I enjoyed the carne with their green sauce, and splitting the order with another person (4 tacos each) ended up being a decently satisfying meal. A little pricey, I think, and no complimentary chips or anything but no complaints there. Really hits the spot for certain cravings and I’ll definitely be back when that happens.

I got pork and chicken tamales, the queso corn dip and one steak taco. The steak was kinda cold, and I ate that one in the car lol so it shouldn’t have been. The flavor was decent. The tamales was okay, the pork was better. But that dip was not good at all and I was the most excited for that. Very generous on the chips but that dip was so thick I could hold it upside down. Couldn’t dip, I had to dig. The flavor was so so. Probably won’t be back. The people were fine but everything was just so underwhelming I’m not tempted to try again at all. The Horchata was the best thing they had. That was delicious!

The best Mexican food around by a long shot. Homemade tortillas (made to order!), homemade crunchy chips, homemade salsa… flavors are phenomenal. You can always tell good Mexican food when it is satisfying without feeling too heavy. We moved from Somerville a few years ago and haven’t found Mexican food in the burbs as good as the city – I’m so happy to have a new home here! The food was prepared quickly, service was friendly and plenty of parking. Don’t leave without ordering a churro. The photo doesn’t do the food service, blame my bf for the bad angle, I was too eager to dig in.

I recently stumbled upon La Plazita Mexico Tacos and I can confidently say it’s become my favorite taco spot in Boston. As a Mexican, I’m usually pretty skeptical of “authentic” Mexican food in the area–but this place truly delivers.
The first time I stopped by for takeout, I was welcomed by the sound of Mexican music and the warmth of friendly staff, instantly taking me back to the taquerías I grew up with. I ordered the carne asada, al pastor, and birria tacos. All were delicious, but the carne asada and birria were absolute standouts–tender, flavorful, and served on fresh handmade tortillas that make all the difference. I also grabbed an horchata agua fresca, which was sweet and refreshing, and couldn’t resist a homemade churro that was just as good as any I’ve had in Mexico.
While waiting, I had a great conversation with the cashier, who generously offered a complimentary flan–it was creamy, sweet, and a perfect treat to end the meal.
On a return visit, I brought a friend and we tried the carne asada burrito and the carnitas tacos. The carnitas? Increíbles! Every time I come back, I’m more impressed, and I’m already planning my next visit to sample more of the menu.
La Plazita is the best thing that’s happened to me taco-wise in Boston. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out.

Plazita Mexico Tacos is fantastic, staff always nice. Typically take out / pick up, food is always fresh and hot. Favorites include the Birria Ramen Soup, Birria burritos, any tacos and the churros are excellet.

We heard this new Mexican place opened where The Spot used to be. Just dined in last night. The staff were amazing, seniors get a 10% discount, 5% if you use cash but……this review is about the flavors.
The Birria Tacos had a slow-cooked beef and umami flavor that tantalized my senses, especially mixed with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. Dipping sauce completed the party in my mouth. Wow!! Spouse scarfed the chicken tacos!
The chips and salsa are a must! The flan we dove into and didn’t stop until the bowl was licked clean. Everything is fresh and homemade. We’ll be back to this neighborhood gem! (Pic was half the order – it was to good to wait.)
I’m editing my review to include my first ever Sopas. OMG! The carnitas sopas was fabulous. Exceptional.
