Blind Fox is hands down one of our favorite spots in Kannapolis. It’s a hidden speakeasy right in the middle of the nightlife, but once you’re inside it feels like a totally different world. If you’re not in the mood for a loud bar or brewery scene (which you can get upstairs), this place is perfect.
We’re in our early 30s and love coming here for quiet date nights, live music, and especially their food and wine pairing events. The bourbon selection is great, the cocktails are always on point, and the vibe is classy without feeling stuffy. It’s also a great spot for hosting parties or special events.
The owner, staff, and even the other people you meet there are always so kind and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. One thing to know going in: the dress code can be hit or miss depending on how busy it is. If you’re not trying to dress business casual, definitely check their Instagram or call ahead. When it’s slower they’re pretty relaxed, but if it’s packed you might get turned away—which honestly comes with the territory of any speakeasy.
If you’re looking for a quieter, fancier cocktail lounge with great people and thoughtfully done drinks, Blind Fox is absolutely worth checking out.

Awesome place! I appreciate management reaching out to let me know about how to access the bar. So worth visiting and wish I had so much earlier. One of the best spots anywhere around and service is incredible.

Stepping into The Blind Fox felt like entering a time machine. This hidden speakeasy in Downtown Kannapolis oozes with charm, from the staff dressed in fashionable 20’s era gowns to the meticulously curated decor. The cocktails, especially “The Ave,” were pure alchemy – each sip a magical experience. Whether it’s a romantic date night or a girls’ night out, this venue promises an unforgettable journey back to the Roaring Twenties. I was captivated by its elegance and can’t wait to return to this gem beneath the historic brick buildings of Cannon Mills.

Had the potentional, great speakeasy vibe, but the service is garbage. I showed up with a guest pass and got an eye roll and “oh that’s nice”. Felt unwelcomed from the start. On an empty bar took 5 mins to get service. FYI if you finish a blantons they keep the topper. Guess the customer can hit bricks and pay a top price 25.00 for a midlevel (buffalo trace) old fashioned. Its unfriendly and not for guest. Don’t visit, be a member of be gone. Also if they tell you there is a dress code. BS guy here had on a safety vest and a hoodie.

We were dining at Chophouse 101 a few weeks ago & made arrangements for a tour of The Blind Fox.
We met with the owner, Ken & he gave us a tour. He truly loves what he has done here. He has exceptional taste. This experience was something out of a movie-complete with all the mystery that surrounds a speakeasy- the elements are all here.
I tried to absorb as much as possible as we were given the tour.
It’s my understanding, you can only visit up 3 times and then if you want to keep visiting, there’s a membership fee. Making it exclusive.
Wednesday nights are whiskey Wednesdays.
For those of you that prefer to go sans alcohol like myself, they made a lovely mocktail for me to try with rosemary, lemon and sprite.
Every Thursday night – they have an instrumental guitar player.
Ken also took us back into a private event space- it was spectacular!
Members get to use the space for free during their birthday month. Just the space of course, you will have to pay for all the rest. But so worth it, this is an exceptional space! Unique.
Going back to the speakeasy details, the Friday and Saturday night crowd, usually show up after dinner.
If you are looking for something different to do. Head to Kannapolis & follow the clues that will lead you to the hidden speakeasy. You won’t regret it.
A note:
I usually go all out, adding many photos and videos in my contributions. I scaled back so you can enjoy mysteries behind The Blind Fox, on your own.

Josephine

The Blind Fox is the perfect mature venue if you enjoy socializing, having cocktails or smoking cigars. I attended an event there and was wowed by the atmosphere. There are 2 room tucked behind hidden walls and false bookcases. The staff was pleasant. The food is delivered from a nearby restaurant and comes pretty fast.

This is my favorite place to be. I am about to sign up for a membership. If you haven’t been here, you are missing out. I would rate higher than a 5 but 5 is the highest rating. Our party did a bourbon tasting with the owner. The owner is super friendly and down to earth. You NEED to check this place out!

The Fox has come a long way from their initial opening. I was rather disappointed when they first opened, but this latest experience was MUCH MUCH better!!
