We live near this restaurant and I have been trying to try it for a long time. The 2 ladys were really friendly and helpful. I got the ham & swiss and it was really good. It also smelled great inside. Thank you for the cookie for my son. We will definitely be back!

Amazing fresh made sandwiches! Perfect servings and incredible flavors! One of those places you can order anything and it will be great! Will definitely be a favorite from now on! I’d add a pic, but the sandwich was too good to put down lol.

Fantastic sandwich shop. Before my husband and I even got the sandwiches, we knew it was gonna be amazing. The environment was so friendly and welcoming. And the sandwiches and homemade soup were 10/10. Also, Chef Mike has the best recipe for chocolate chip cookies!! Absolutely delicious. This will be a frequent spot for us from now on. So glad we found this place.

There is not a sammich on the menu that you shouldn’t try. The soups are excellent. They could use a better exhaust system, shame on The Village of Fox Lake for not enforcing proper ventilation. HIGHLY recommend everything on the menu. Service is awesome.

The sandwiches were delicious and the choice of two homemade fresh soups was amazing. I had Spinach and friend had the chili. it’s a five star. I will definitely be back again.

This was by far the worst place I’ve ever been to for sandwiches. The bread was old and completely unfresh — definitely not worth the $29 we paid for small sandwiches. On top of that, it’s clear they have no experience at all in making sandwiches — everything was poorly put together and lacked any quality.

We waited 25 minutes, and while sitting there, our eyes were burning from the smoke inside. There’s absolutely no proper ventilation.

I’m attaching a receipt so the owner can’t claim, like he does in other reviews, that we “didn’t buy anything” and demand to “see the receipt.” Funny thing is, they don’t even give you a receipt unless you ask several times — now I understand why.

Save your time and money and go to Jersey Mike’s in Volo instead

Walked in and was greated with friendly faces with smiles! Food was amazing, homemade soup was delicious and the sauce on the sandwich really makes it! Definitely will be coming back!

I have eaten here many times and I’m always impressed with the service, cleanliness and quality of food. I’m a sub-guy and have had subs from every major chain, many small sub shops and even the local grocery store! This is by far the best.

When I’m craving a sub I somehow find my way to the shop and usually order either the Italian American or the Paisano. We must pay homage to the great Italian meats that they put on this sandwich. Speaking from experience and being Italian American, my family makes their own sausage, sopressata and bread, so I have a good handle on what a sub should be and this place fills the craving! I can put down the big sub, but it is substantial 🙂

I have had the Panini’s and many of the specialty items on the menu as well, including the home-made soups. If you’re looking to expand your food cravings from just your ordinary sandwich shop, this is the place to go.

Today I went way off course and got the tuna salad sub, which I’m not sure is even on the menu, but that is what I asked for. It brought back memories of when I used to order them as a teacher before giving lessons. It was stuck in my mind all day and today that is what I wanted to try. Like I said, it is not even on the menu, but they did it for me, so don’t be afraid to ask! They are always willing to go that extra step for their customers.

Very friendly and accommodating. Menu selection is well thought out and executed.
They helped us coordinate sandwiches and sides for 80 very special seniors and family. There were so many smiling people that day. Cannot wait until the next event… variety of soups for seniors. Stay tuned. Shout out to Michael and Christine
Blessings! In Christ. Michael and Donna

I am a sandwich guy, they do offer some good frash sandwiches. The are very good but not great, especially for the price. 1 sandwich and 1 drink $26 dollars, what? At the Golf Farm on 12 I can get a great NY strip steak sandwich for $18 dollars. Not sure about their longevity, I watched many in Fox Lake come and go.
