The question is who’s Jollof is better? Nigerian, Liberian, or Ghanian, lol. First time here and I’m also a Liberian. So…heard about this place long ago, but time wasn’t on my side then. Of course all of Houston has many Nigerian restaurants, and all have the same style cooking. But this place in Spring is amongst itself based on location. No too much competition. So I got dinner for tonight carryout. Jollof rice, the bigger portion, with two stew chicken portions for protein with gravy, and a side of spinach veges, plus plantains. I was craving this dish when I saw it on review. So for the taste…flavorful when you add it all together. Good dish. I will do this particular dish again. But probably dine-in on a good Saturday night to hear some afrobeats and feel cool vibes. Wall art are nice as well here. Will I try anything else on the menu in the future…only goat pepper soup. Why??? Because Nigerian’s and Liberian’s have same dish name but different taste. Not taking anything from no one’s cooking, but Liberian Jollof is #1, more meat included and no sauce needed. So, 4 stars for my first time experiencing the food and service. The takeaway, meals aren’t charged as one. Meats and sides are charge additional each.

This is by far one of the worst restaurants that sell African food in the whole of Texas. I’ve been consistently ordering from this place and jollof rice with goat meat has always been my go to order but I usually get it via delivery with a piece of goat meat and chicken. This time I decided to get two pieces of goat meat and chicken but what was sent to me was ridiculous. The first goat meat was small which I was just going to ignore but the second was just a piece of BONE. I put a call through and whoever picked gave a silly response. It’s okay for your food to be pricey if it meets the standard but if you’re charging those prices but not delivering on quantity or quality then there’s an issue. This will be the last time I buy from you guys.

I originally came here to complain about a previous order where I was literally sent BONE instead of meat. I was given a number to call, but after calling multiple times with no response, I finally reached the owner today. Instead of apologizing, he immediately sounded skeptical and even implied that people “take advantage” of situations like this to get free replacements basically suggesting I was lying.

He then asked if I could delete my comment. I told him I would after the issue was properly resolved. He agreed and promised to replace the BONE from my last order.

Based on that promise, I placed a new Uber Eats order for Jollof rice, Amala, with soup and assorted meats and chicken and I called him right after. He assured me everything would be taken care of. When my food arrived, nothing was corrected regarding my previous complaint, absolutely nothing. No replacement, no fix. When I called back, he claimed he “forgot” to tell his staff. Btw, this is a very laughable statement!

At this point, the dishonesty is obvious and i regret believing you the first time or even reaching out to you since you’re not even accountable.

I’m attaching a photo of the stale food I received today. (Yes! The Amala and soup was stale but the jollof was ok) This place does not care about customer satisfaction at all, they only care about their pockets and selfish interests. I spent almost 50 bucks on today’s order expecting the issue to be resolved, only to receive stale food and absolutely no correction at all. You care more about how people perceive your restaurant online but not willing to be accountable. Still the worst African restaurant in Texas, you’re never beating the allegations!!

Zero accountability!!!

As his wife, I want to clarify: You think we would spend $50 to fix a mistake that cost about $12? My husband explained the situation to you, yet you continue to make excuses and refuse accountability. This is your problem to handle, not ours. Shifting blame and claiming others “take advantage” of the same issues does not address the real problem. You repeatedly fail to take responsibility for your mistakes, instead making it seem like your customers are at fault. You even requested that we take down the post, yet no accountability was taken. Well, this post remains because it reflects the truth.

A very cool atmosphere very inviting like the vibes of the restaurant. I enjoy the wallpaper with information on the various leaders of Nigeria. The staff were very helpful in being able to not decide with the shoes, but in giving us a sample so that way we could taste some different cuisine. I’ve never had Nigerian food, but definitely would highly recommend this location. The vegetables were really well spiced and flavorful was delicious a little bit tougher than what I would like in eating meat, but I thought it was a great place to get Nigerian food.

Note my rating system:
1 Star: I wouldn’t recommend
2 Stars: Didn’t hit my standards
3 Stars: Average (nothing special)
4 Stars: Above Average. Would recommend. Still looking for the 5 Star.
5 Stars: Top of their game. Great food. Great service. Would recommend and plan on returning.

I came here with no expectations, just want to eat something different, I tried the Jollof Rice, and a meat with plantain, it was absolutely delicious, rich in flavor and even nicer , different flavor , reminded me of food from Brasil, aside the spice part.
Wonderful customer service, the guy behind the balcony gave small portions to try and was very kind, that was a client who came to me a offered me a piece of food in case I want to try something different. I recommend this place 100% great everything

I wanna start with the meat pie which was dry as hell and lacked any flavor. I was nearly choking on the damn thing. Then I got two beef and rice bowels and one of them didn’t even have beef. I wanna point out that they charged 5 dollars extra per bowel for a meat. And the one that did get beef is a freaking joke! Might as well not have given me any beef at all

This cafe was recommended by a co-worker.

The service was great, and the servers were friendly.

The restaurant looks nice and clean.

The food is great! They had multiple choices of cooked food. I tried the stewed goat meat, jolof rice, grilled chicken, and meat pie. All are delicious.

I highly recommend their meat pie. It’s very tasty with full flavors.

For drinks, I tried the pineapple ginger juice, and it’s the best and one of the must try!

For someone who never goes out of their comfort zone my best friend made me try this place today and I can’t say nothing bad about it.
The food is phenomenal. The seasoning and taste is amazing. I’ve always seen videos about eating this type of food and I’ve always been intrigued to try it, but never had the guts to do so I’m so glad I did today every bit of it!!

Highly recommend this place, Staff was so nice and also gave me a sample platter to try everything he had before ordering to make sure that I liked it, he also explained to me what was in detail, and the mixed drinks were very good as well

My fiancée and I visited Houston, Texas for the first time on vacation and decided to try some Nigerian delicacies. To our pleasant surprise, the customer service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious and well-packaged. The flavors were so authentic that they brought back nostalgic memories of my mom’s home-cooked meals. Highly recommended!
