Horrible service, consistently. We had to flag down the waitress to order an appetizer. She didn’t come back to our table until the appetizer was served to order our main course. We were finished with our appetizer for a good 30 minutes before the waitress surfaced again. At this point still no food. By the time our food finally came, we had to put it in a to-go box and leave. Still another ridiculous wait to get the check. Keep in mind, we were one of 3 tables in the dining area and there were 3 waitresses on the floor. The only good time to go to this place is at night when you can sit at the bar, order pizza and drink a pitcher of beer. The bartenders are great. The day shift wait staff are awful.

Great burger! The guy at the bar makes pretty good drinks. The TVs over the bar make it one of the best places to watch a game in Trinidad. The service can be a little slow around 5-6pm, but it wasn’t terrible. Seriously, good burgers.

Not perfect but, they sure make up the difference with service. Yes , excellent customer service. Our waiter David was amazing. My tea glass was never empty. They lost a star on the steak being on the dry side, but the fresh mushrooms and onions were mind blowing. We easily got extra rolls, without begging, and did I say my tea glass was never empty?

Steak was over cooked and over seasoned. It tasted and looked like the sprinkled garlic powder on it, didn’t rub it in, and then burnt it onto the steak. It was a bad cut of meat and extremely chewy. Rolls were also chewy. Waitress did not check on us after dropping off our food. Had to get another waitress to print our check. Original waitress brought check to table, laid it down, and didn’t say anything. Bad food, bad service.

Service was good. Burger was decent but the homestyle fries could have been fresher. The beer on tap was fresh and cold. We sat in the back close to the salad bar and the service door squeaked so bad I almost went and bought WD40 that would drive me crazy if I had to work with that everyday!

A very nice full service restaurant inside the Holiday Inn Hotel in Trinidad, Colorado. This is a convenient location since the hotel is actually outside of the town. The Peaks offers a full service menu; breakfast, lunch, and dinner at reasonable prices. Plus, happy hour at the bar. Kids under 12 eat free. And if you are a hotel guest and you’d rather eat in your room in your jammies, they also offer room service. For ease in paying, guest’s meal checks can be attached to their hotel bill. Reservations are not required and one does not have to be a hotel guest to eat there. Parking is associated with the hotel and is just outside.
The Peaks is open daily from 6am to 10pm. The menu is American food, from pizza and hamburgers to steak. A Salad Bar is also available. The Lounge is open from 3-11pm daily.
We have eaten there several times over the course of staying at the hotel and not been disappointed. The servers are friendly and happy to help make your stay pleasant.

This bar is in the Holiday Inn and Suites in Trinidad, Co. I opened this Hotel and Bar back in 2008. Great hotel bar. Food is great. Say hello to Victoria the Food and Beverage Manager who has been there since we opened it. I was up there a year ago last August 2018 and the place still rocks.

Always open which is unusual in Trinidad, the food is just fine and the service has been quite good every time I’ve dined here. It’s one of my go-to places when I want everything to be comfortable and easy.
