Bayou View native & have known this spot my whole life. The nephew wanted to try Blow Fly for the first time & we both were highly satisfied! We stated off with Fried Pickles (FABULOUS!) & I got a Bloody Mary (beautifully made).
The nephew got Chicken Tenders & Fries & for myself the Stuffed Portobellos (chefs kiss) everything was timed perfectly. Music & our waitress made the visit absolutely perfect for us.
So happy this place is still here & I got to share it with my mini!

Me & my husband ate here on 12/12 and it was by far the best food we’ve ever had! Fried Green Tomatoes was so delicious and my husbands crab cake with his platter was amazing! 20/10 definitely recommend, this will be our new place when we visit. The service was also great! Kayli/Kaylee (spelling?) was so sweet and awesome and helped us decide what to get! Couldn’t have asked for anyone better

Zero service. “Bottomless mimosas” but got served 2 the entire 3 hours we waited. Luckily I had nothing to do today and the atmosphere was nice. Great friends make up for it. Could’ve had a better experience at home. All the food was cold or bottom tier. Idk who called out but they’re your ace. Pay them more so they show up. 0/10 would not recommend based on this visit. Plain grits were shrimpy. Scrambled eggs were shrimpy. Powdered sugar sauce for French toast was terrible. Cheese was dried out and had no flavor. Ordered BV board, shrimp and grits and the admiral. 26$ for BV board was crazy but we really tried to give this place a chance. Every server inside was very rude. Outside server was spread way too thin. Don’t think I saw a single manager the entire time. Lots of unwitnessed potential here.

Green fried tomatoes were very good and crisp, the nachos were well covered with sauce, sausage, and crawfish tails, no complaints on the appetizers.
Shrimp Po-Boy had a lot of fried shrimp very good.
2-Chicken sandwiches were portioned very well, had to take in a go box.

Steak was pretty tough for a rib-eye cut, and I ordered medium rare, cooked like I wanted but it also lacked any seasons, when I say none, I mean none were existent, couldn’t even taste any salt and pepper.
Overall good food and atmosphere, would definitely come back but a no go on the steak.

Loved this place as a local 10 years ago and now as we are vacationing. We told the group we were with we MUST go here.

Emily D was our server. She was amazing. Food was so delicious. My fav was definitely the boudin balls! Hubby absolutely loved his black and blue burger. So juicy and the blue cheese was baked in the meat! We will absolutely be going back again! Happy Hour specials too! Great hidden gem!

(Edited review) I really liked the atmosphere here. They have inside dining and a nice patio that overlooks the water. I’ve eaten here several times since they’ve opened. On my last visit I got a hair in my crab cake, not once but twice. The second time the hair was pretty long (picture posted). The other food was good but the hair really left me not wanting to come back. I still paid for the meal because the waitress was amazing.
