I have lived in Albuquerque my whole life and have passed by this restaurant many times but this time I decided to stop in and give it a try. Now I’m pretty sad I hadn’t tried it before. We were greeted at the door by a nice lady named Jovanna (sorry if I misspelled). She also took our drink order and offered up suggestions on the menu, one of which is a new menu item named cream pesto spaghetti. She explained that it was their Alfredo sauce with pesto. I love Alfredo so we had to try it (I ordered it with some meatballs). When our waiter Charles came by he took our order and explained it came with soup or salad, we chose salad. The salad was also very good and fresh, it came with what I believe to be a slice of pepperoni. When our order came her offered fresh grated parmasean and Chile flakes. We really enjoyed it and suggest you give it a try also. I can say that I will be coming here more often to give some other menu items a try in hopes they are just as yummy! I loved the atmosphere and the restaurant is handicapped accessible. You can also eat on the patio if you desire some fresh air. Jovanna and Charles were awesome. I love that they interacted with us. They have great personalities, perfect to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. If you have the pleasure of Charles waiting on you he is a hoot, he had us laughing with his comments. Thank you both for the great experience!

AMAZING!!! People need to fill this place up. This is honestly some of the best Italian cuisine I have ever had. I was surprised it was empty when we arrived. As the environment was very pleasing the staff friendly. the prices very reasonable. Everything was Absolutely delicious. You could just taste the freshness. The best Veal Parmesan I have ever had. I am naming this restaurant the Best Italian restaurant in the city. if not the entire state.

We had a lovely late lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. The owner was on the premise and made sure we had a good experience. I was surprised to see that all the vegetables were prepared fresh (not frozen) and the dishes were made to order. The patios are beautifully maintained and clean.
Going back for a second visit, the restaurant was confused about reservations. The owner said they take reservations, the staff said they do not. When we arrived at our reservation time, the hostess smugly announced that they do not take reservations and she would try to find me something. She dug in again when seating us saying, “I was able to put something together for you.” Gee thanks. It was unnecessarily rude.

An excellent place to take a date for a romantic dinner. The food (green Chile chicken alfredo & jumbo meat ravioli) was delicious and the wait staff were very kind and accommodating. It did take a while to get a table, but only because they follow COVID safe practices, nothing more. Highly recommend!

We loved this place. A change of pace from our adventure of New Mexican flare. The ambience was romantic. Outside patio was beautiful. We went here twice in our week long visit w/ the National Senior Games. Our waitress #5. Sorry I did not remember her name. She was wonderful. She gave us a tourist tip to do the trolley around town. Great since I was exhausted with my volleyball competition going on. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. The raspberry ice tea was so refreshing and as our waitress recommended hydrating well. Since I came from Virginia I dearly needed it. Thank you!

The food was great, the sauce is extra rich and meaty. I love the decor and atmosphere here, I felt like I was transported back in time. There was a party going on in the other room with Dean Martin singing, “That’s Amore.” We had a table next to the window and ate dinner while we watched the cars going by on Route 66.

The main dishes are good, but the sides are very basic and not what I’d expect from such a place. The servers are all very nice though.

A play at Popejoy, followed by an evening a Capo’s? Does it get any better? An Italian restaurant on central, beautiful way to spend a Saturday evening. I have made my way to this excellent establishment through the years several times and the Choice? never disappoints. My go to, this night? And on several occasions… the green chili chicken alfredo. Creamy sauce with perfectly portioned white meat chicken….delicious! The egg plant, thinly cut nicely breaded, loved the taste and texture. The portions are generous…the menu has all your favorites… decent wine selection rounds out the menu. Greeted at the door by an owner, attended to by a very capable and pleasant server. An enjoyable night from start to key lime pie and coffee finish.
