This place was such a great experience from start to finish. The dining room is beautiful with warm lighting, a chandelier, and that classic upscale Italian feel. It’s elegant but still comfortable, the kind of place where you can actually relax and enjoy your night.

We started with the burrata and it was incredibly fresh and creamy, perfectly balanced with the tomatoes and basil. You can tell they focus on quality ingredients. The fried croquettes were crispy and flavorful with a great dipping sauce. Both appetizers set the tone right away.

For dinner, the braised short rib pasta was rich and comforting with tender, flavorful meat. The veal with mushrooms was cooked perfectly and the sauce was smooth and balanced without being too heavy. Even the sides were done right, especially the Brussels sprouts which had a great caramelized finish. Every dish felt thoughtful and well executed.

Service was attentive without hovering and the pacing of the meal felt just right. Overall, it was one of those dinners where everything came together. Great food, great atmosphere, and a place I’d definitely come back to.

First time here! The service was outstanding, the food spectacular. We came for the restaurant week special lunch. We will DEFINITELY be returning. Presentation and taste were amazing. Loved it ll.
SECOND TIME: Even better than the first time. This time we came for the Prix Fix dinner. Large selection to choose from. Included appetizers, salad, main course and dessert for $39 per person. Service was spectacular and food was AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS.

I see why everyone raves about this place! I wasn’t sure how much I was going to like it because I like Italian but I’m not obsessed like some people are. But everything was so delicious and perfectly cooked. I had squid ink pasta pescatore and it was perfectly Al dente. It’s hard to find homemade pasta and a pasta that even outshines the fresh seafood it came with. The tripe is the silent appetizer that wins my heart. It was soothing and clean. I want this every time I come here. Our server Adrian was incredible and very kind. I will recommend this place to anyone who asks! Please come and support, I want this place to be here forever!

Amazing! Molto bene. Highly recommend if and when you are in the Staten Island area. Calamari was perfectly cooked. Burrata hit the spot and the black squid ink pasta entrée knocked it completely out of the park. Thank you Cheech and Don.

We came to Don Cheech tonight with a party of ten to kick off my wife’s birthday weekend, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish.
The food was absolutely amazing—every dish at the table was flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. The ambiance was perfect for a celebration: warm, lively, and welcoming without feeling overcrowded.
What truly set the night apart was the hospitality and service. Chef Don Cheech himself was walking around the restaurant throughout the evening, checking on guests and making sure everyone was enjoying themselves. That level of personal attention speaks volumes about his commitment to his craft and his brand. It’s exactly how you build a community of loyal customers.
A special shoutout to our server Freddy, who did an excellent job taking care of our large party all night. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything ran smoothly.
We had an incredible time celebrating the start of my wife’s birthday weekend, and we’re already looking forward to coming back again—next time I’ll be bringing my daughter.
Salute to the Don, his kitchen staff, and Freddy for a fantastic night.
And thank you for the dipping oil to go… that was a great touch!

Dinner at Don Cheech in Rosebank, reputed to have one of the best chicken parms in NYC.

We started with their spicy fried calamari. I had the filet of sole Milanese with salad; my friend had the chicken parm (which was excellent) with cavatappi.

It’s a lovely dining room and the service is very attentive. I will definitively be back. It’s a large menu and there’s lots to try.

Don Cheech is a wonderful addition to Italian SI restraunt scene, which is dwindling. The service was amazing, the vegan tiramisu was delicious, very extensive wine list and innovative specials & menu. Remained a classy Italian eatery with contemporary fresh offerings. Dover Sole fileted table side, Prime rib was buttery and I’ll be back for the oxtail ravioli

Service was good and Atmosphere was good. Everytime I try a new place I order Chicken Parm. I figure if you can’t make good chicken Parm then the rest won’t be good either. Well the Chicken parm and pasta was Delicious. Shoutout to the Chef/Owner great guy and Attentive.
