The service here was absolutely incredible — warm, attentive, and really elevated the overall experience. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite match the same level.
The Achari Paneer was decent but lacked the signature achari punch I was hoping for (6/10). The Jackfruit Biryani was underwhelming — it didn’t have enough salt or biryani flavor, and felt more like a pan-tossed masala rice (5/10).
The Veeray Di Gobhi was disappointing too — only four pieces for $10, i’d love to pay more and not compromise in quantity, and they tasted more like cauliflower tossed in a generic sweet-and-tangy sauce rather than something distinctive (5/10).
On the positive side, the Amritsari Chole were absolutely amazing — perfectly spiced and paired beautifully with the puris (10/10). The Chicken Bukhni Kebab was flavorful and well-cooked, though not particularly standout (8/10).
Overall, the experience was a mix: top-notch service and a couple of solid dishes, but much of the food could use more depth, seasoning, and authenticity.
Full Review:
This Indian restaurant is a total standout. Best butter chicken I’ve ever had, insanely flavorful dishes, and warm, unforgettable service. A neighborhood gem.
We’ve officially found our go-to Indian spot, and honestly, it might be the best Indian food in the area. My partner and I were so blown away, we came back three times in one week.
The space is clean, cozy, and welcoming. The staff? Incredibly kind and attentive. Lakshmi went above and beyond. Her recommendations weren’t just good—they made our entire experience unforgettable.
Now for the food:
Butter Chicken – Unbelievably good. Creamy, perfectly spiced, and the chicken was insanely tender. Easily some of the best we’ve ever had.
Lamb Chops and Tandoori Chicken – Bursting with flavor, juicy, and perfectly cooked. The sides that come with the lamb chops had us in heaven.
Carrot Pudding – Yes, this dessert deserves its own shoutout. It’s rich, warm, and one of the best sweet dishes we’ve had in the neighborhood.
Every single bite was packed with flavor. No matter your spice preference, they get it just right.
This place isn’t just a hidden gem. It’s a must-visit for anyone who loves Indian cuisine. We’ll be coming back again and again.
The achari chicken tikka was great as well ,so was the garlic naan.
Bhel puri was tasty ,but the quantity could have been more . (Nice presentation though)
Disappointed that they did not have gazar ka halwa when I went :’) ,but the delicious gulab jamun made up for it.
Overall it was a nice experience, and for someone wanting to try out good North Indian food in Manhattan this would be a good choice.
The staff were very polite and helpful as well ,and the service was quite swift I’d definitely recommend this restaurant.
We ordered a couple of main things: the Samosa Chaat, Butter Chicken (mildly spicy), Paneer Makhani, Lentil, 2 Butter Naans, and Basmati rice. Everything was absolutely delicious.
I would definitely come back here again whenever I’m craving Indian food, and I definitely recommend stopping by, especially if you’re in the area.
The food itself was great, nice spicy curry and fresh paneer. Rice is not included here and is a $4 charge. The colorful far far were quite salty.
The ambiance is neat and well maintained. The service is also good and fast. Overall this is a decent place to have Indian food.
