Half market, half farm-to-market speakeasy… This gem serves up wonderful service, perfectly mixed cocktails and great eats.

I felt as if the chef wanted me to know that they have a mastery of flavor, even using salty bitter notes to perfectly counterbalance fresh local ingredients. I felt like this was how farm-to-table should be… And only sometimes is.

Thank you for letting me enjoy your fare and wonderful service!!!

I went to cow&cabbage with friends last week for burger night (Tuesdays, generally) and we had a great time. The wings were spectacular and we really enjoyed our burgers + potato salad. Fries my friend got were nothing to scoff at either. The cow&cabbage burger is so good, and the meat just melts in your mouth. Everyone in the kitchen here does a spectacular job, and you can really tell they take pride in the food they put out. I am looking forward to coming back to this restaurant outside of burger night. The desserts were also spectacular, including the peach cake and apple pie. The peach cake was light and sweet, with the apple pie being more dense. Cannot stress enough how yummy everything was. Thanks to the kitchen staff and the servers for awesome service all around!

We went and tried Cow and Cabbage tonight and I have to say, Linda and Lisa know how to make excellent food. We walked in without a reservation and were immediately sat – Linda sat us at the community table (a large table designed to be shared by multiple diners) downstairs. They have tables setup in front of the grocery area, which is fun to look at since they carry so much local stuff! Alyssa, who was our waitress, was amazing – Linda told us to try the beet salad (which she said was her favorite) It was divine. My partner and I split the biscuits (came with a cherry chipotle jam, and sweet butter) It was scrumptious. My partner had the farm salad, which he said was very good. For entrees, I had the steak frites (the cocktail cherry liquor sauce that came on top was heavenly) and my partner had the burger, which he said was yummy. Overall, we loved our experience at Linda and Lisa’s new place – can’t wait to go back and try the catfish (which Linda says is the best catfish, ever!!)

This was my first visit to Cow & Cabbage, and unfortunately it wasn’t a great experience.

I was part of a group of about 10–12 ladies. Our organizer reserved the space several days in advance, yet our server made a blanket comment implying that we did not have a reservation. She seemed visibly upset because another group arrived after us without a reservation and was also seated. As a result, the service we received felt muted and distracted once the second party arrived.

Because it was my first visit, I had a few questions about the food and drinks. The server’s tone was sharp and came across as rude, almost as if she were offended by any questions at all. This was especially disappointing since the drinks are not typical, and some explanation would have been helpful.

We asked if the temperature could be adjusted, as it was set around 65 degrees and the air was blowing directly on our table. She said she would handle it after assisting the other party, but she never returned to adjust it.

The food was also disappointing. My fries came out cold, and my sandwich was served cold as well—mostly bread with seasoning that I didn’t care for. I didn’t end up eating my meal. At that point, I was hesitant to ask for anything else because every question seemed to be met with a smart or rude remark. For example, I asked whether the fish and chips were prepared with cornmeal or flour (there is a difference), and I received an attitude in response. I also asked about a fruit cup as a side and was met with another rude comment.

They did not offer regular sodas (no Coke or Pepsi), and the tea that was served was unsweetened and tasted burned, like it had been sitting too long in the container.

To her credit, the server did comp all of the drinks at the end, which was appreciated. However, the overall attitude made us feel unwelcome—as if she wasn’t happy that we were there at all.

I’m not sure that I’ll be returning, and I honestly don’t know that they would care either, which is unfortunate because I was really looking forward to trying this place.

What a great experience. We had a friend visit recently and he told us we must go as soon as we were able. We sat upstairs (which I would recommend for dinner). Service was spot on throughout the entire night. We started with the deviled eggs, half plain and half Chef’s Choice. The Chef’s Choice were the best, drizzled with chili crisp (or pickled Szechuan peppercorns) and topped with a tiny gherkin and fresh dill. The soup of the day was a cabbage and radish soup. It was interesting and very homey but I wish I had ordered the salad. I had the Novarro Farm sweet Potato Gnocchi (kale and pecan pesto, Birch Bottom Farm Georgia candy roaster, fresh chevre). I was a little hesitant about the kale pesto but should NOT have been. This dish was delicious–great garlic flavor. Would order again.

The burger looked amazing and while The Hubs said it was good, he also said it needed some more spice.

They had a couple of rotating beers from Heirloom–a Mexican Lager and an Italian Pilsner. I had the Water Lily cocktail, their take on an Aviation. Order it just because it’s beautiful (and refreshing). The photo does not depict the deep color of it. I asked what other gin based cocktails they had on their menu. They didn’t but the server/bartender offered to make me a Bee’s Knees for the second round. It was delicious!

The atmosphere here is casual but the food is elevated. I kept thinking this is what a French bistro would be like inside. I want to come back and shop the market.

Oh, and the apple pie was excellent as well!

I strolled down Cherry Street for a bite and stumbled into this amazing new little spot. The place is clean, the vibe is right, and the food is amazing. I had an egg salad sandwich and pasta salad. It was the perfect cool meal on a hot day. Afterwards, I finished off with a slice of carrot cake that was pure heaven. The staff was super helpful and friendly. I can’t wait to go back.

Cow and Cabbage has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Tulsa. The menu is vegetable-forward in the best way possible—thoughtful dishes, great balance of flavor, and absolutely no compromise on quality. You can tell the kitchen cares about how every plate is built.

Even the simplest items feel elevated, and the produce is always local and well-seasoned. It’s the kind of place where you order something healthy and still feel like you’re treating yourself. Service is warm, portions are generous, and everything comes out tasting like someone actually paid attention.

If you’re looking for a place that does food right without sacrificing heartiness or creativity, this is a must-try. Tulsa needs more restaurants like this.
