I tried the Brioche French Toast, which was perfectly soft and topped with fresh, sliced strawberries and bananas. The warm syrup added just the right amount of sweetness. My friend had eggs Benedict with a side of fruit. Both dishes were flavorful and satisfying. the service was friendly and attentive, and the cozy atmosphere made for a great dining experience. The restaurant filled up quickly, and while there was a lively buzz of chatter, it added to the welcoming vibe without being overwhelming. Overall, it was a great brunch spot, and I’d definitely recommend giving it a try if you’re looking for delicious food and a relaxed ambiance!
And then there was the food and drink – the stars of the show. I enjoyed a light yet filling, clean yet flavorful meal. The octopus and chorizo with fingerling potatoes was perfect. The flavors, textures, and presentation simply hit! And the crab cakes (all meat) with quinoa and brussels sprouts weren’t something I knew I needed, but I indeed needed all of it. Although tapas, the portions were significant, yet the meals were light enough that I could fully enjoy the two. The array of drinks was varied, creative, and inspiring. The pomegranate martini, the BSB with a churro to boot, and the house margarita were individual adventures of flavor and creativity. Each delivered.
And then there is the pricing. No complaints there. Reasonable and a steal of a deal. This is my new go-to restaurant, and that’s before I’ve tried their unbelievable happy hour! Looking forward to returning and trying new dishes each visit.
For food, the empanadas were fried perfectly crisp, though the beef filling was a touch on the dry side. But the calamari was awesome! Huge pieces, well-seasoned, and the texture was spot-on (I had never seen calamari pieces so big before). The overall ambience was fantastic, especially as the place got busy. I’d recommend checking out Riviera for happy hour. I would definitely visit again and perhaps for brunch next time, they have a pretty nice menu.
I’ve been here 3 times in two weeks, plus ordered to-go another day. This place is a hidden gem in Riverdale. The ambiance is nice, the wait staff is attentive, and the food is delicious.
The photos are from two different trips. The shrimp tacos, tapas de salmon teriyaki, and guacamole are must-haves, but don’t be afraid to experiment. I’m looking forward to my next visit!
