Loved everything about this little, beautiful, warm and incredible restaurant. The service is perfect, the oyster selection amazing, and everything was good. I had the Beet Salad… bursting with flavor. Shrimp Cocktail… bright and firm. And 5 assorted delicious oysters. Can’t wait to come back.
PS… sorry pics came out bad..but it was incredible food.

If you want to eat oysters in Boston, you have a lot of options. We tried Little whale oyster bar one night and it was really worth it. The food was good. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was amazing. For such a small place, they know how to do it right. The oysters were really fresh. The fish and chips were soooo good.

Great place to meet up with friends and coworkers! The oysters were well shucked and fresh. We shared the lobster roll, fish and chips, and the calamari. Everything was so fresh. The fries with the fish and chips were perfect and I loved the dressing on their side salad. Would definitely come back to try the rest of the menu!

Oysters are fat and taste buttery/fresh. 38 dollars for saltwater pasta and measly clams is crazy. Barely any pasta and it was like someone dropped the salt shaker on the plate. No flavor besides salt. Do not get this.

Lovely little spot with a variety of oysters. The place has two levels with the downstairs being the main part. Service was great. I fell in love with moon shoal and norumbega, they were a delight.

Bridget was excellent and really took care of us. She was efficient and warm. I also appreciated how she talked to us and got to know us— she gave great recommendations since it was my first time in Boston.

We waited about an hour for our clam-chowder and fish and chips. The waitress took care of our second drinks so that made up for it. The fish n chips is amazingly delicious and large. I recommend it. The Clam-chowder was lacking seafood. It was just creamy potato soup. I do recommend this place despite the hiccups, it was delicious and the staff were friendly. But if your food takes longer than usual, ask for a complimentary pour.

Just an absolutely amazing meal. Little Whale isn’t particularly large or fancy but we had the best oysters we’ve ever eaten one Sunday afternoon.

James was our server and he was wonderful. Helpful, but not hovering, knowledgeable without hectoring, and quick and efficient.

The oysters and the fish and chips were some of the best I’ve ever had, as was the calamari.

I can’t wait to go back!
