Honestly the only thing that it was missing was a good salsa to go with the skillet…. thats what was missing. (It had a drizzle of some type of southwest dressing.. but a Steak Stillet like that deserves a good salsa to go with it)
They have a good selection of food on their menu, I had a hard time deciding but I opted for the creme brulee french toast. As you can see in the picture below, it didn’t look like much. The sausage patties look like they were deep fried to a crisp. I mean appearance is everything.. The meal I was expecting to look extravagant come out looking just like a regular dipped french toast along with some extra crispy fried sausage patties. To say the least I was disappointed with the presentation of the meal, However, I was starving so I carried on and finished everything. The food was delicious! Don’t get me wrong, I just wasn’t a fan of the bland bloody, hockey puck sausages, and the French toast tasted like french toast, But for the extra side order of sausage for $6, I would think that my sausage would come out gleaming and appetizing looking, dripping sweat beads of flavorful grease pockets and wanting me to eat it. But as you can clearly see from the photo, the disappointment I felt I mean I would definitely go try it again and try something else perhaps, as it is not a bad little spot. I just wouldn’t get a bloody Mary again, nor sausages
Long story short, super cold day in Wi. 3 degrees outside. Our first option was closed due to heating not working. Our second option didn’t not give us a good vibe when walked in, so we ended up here, and I’m glad we did.
The place was packed. Luckily, waiting time as only 5 minutes, but there was open seating by the bar, so we took it.
We got the perfect breakfast sandwich (waffles with eggs, sausage, cheese and ham) and eggs Benedict. Mimosas and coffee. All for $56
Every bite was great. It might be our personal favorite around the area. A must for brunch.
Kudos to the team and service. Good job.
I throughly enjoyed my visit from the delicious food & people/dog watching out of the big sunny windows. Looking forward to dining there this spring/summer outside!
The pancakes were huge—much bigger than I expected—and wonderfully light and fluffy. My cinnamon roll pancake was generously topped with frosting, yet still perfectly balanced and delicious. Our waitress was attentive and kind; when my son accidentally dropped his silverware on the floor, she noticed right away and quickly brought him a clean set, which I really appreciated.
I would definitely return if I’m in the area again. The menu features many unique breakfast options, and I’d love to come back and try more.
