Went to Sushi Grove with a group of 6 for their all-you-can-eat dinner on a Saturday, priced at $26.95 per person. They automatically add an 18% service charge for larger groups, which is something to keep in mind when paying at the end. The price itself isn’t bad compared to other AYCE sushi spots, but unfortunately, you’re paying for pretty poor service.

Food-wise, things were decent. The appetizers like takoyaki, edamame, and miso soup were good starters, and overall the food tasted fine. However, service completely ruined the experience. There’s a 2-hour time limit, and we waited almost an entire hour just for our second round of food. We asked the waiter to cancel our second order because it was taking so long and our 2-hour limit was coming up, so he said no problem and brought us the check. But to our surprise, he then also came back with the second tray saying, “Surprise! They just finished in time. Enjoy.” That was…frustrating, to say the least.

Another surprising thing was being charged $2 per person for hot tea!! Paying for hot tea in the winter feels…laughable, especially when most restaurants offer it for free.

Food was great, the place was completely packed the entire time we were there so it took a while to get our orders for all you can eat but that’s because every table at the place was full! no big deal, i would just recommend getting your orders in as soon as you can so you don’t have to wait as long between rounds!

We have been ordering sushi from sushi grove for more than 2 years, but for the past couple of months they got worse and worse each time. We had people over for new years, and they were spiting the sushi out the were super dry and had barely any filling, tiny bit of cream cheese and even less shrimp! This time the shrimp was just dried and super tiny, the shrimp wasn’t cleaned, It was just the tempura, I was barely able to see the mango!!! GROSSS
When I came home with my order I realized that it was mixed up.
Girls at the front are rude, and don’t look presentable.
This is very sad, because the place is great and their food was amazing, but now…
I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ANYMORE!

Great food and atmosphere. Bring something to do while waiting for food, but that should be expected due to a laborious task of making sushi. Always lively! Fresh fish and great rolls for AYCE.

It took a long time for us to get our food, and there was no communication between the waitor and us as to why it was taking so long. There were 2 tables after us and they got their food before us, and one table was a party of 6. We were only 4 (2 adults 2 kids). Our food didn’t come out together. We got our poke bowls first, and then still waited about 10 more min for the kids food to come out.
The fish on our poke bowls didn’t taste fresh at all and it was too warm, and it was more of a pâté instead of it being diced. The sushi rolls that were ordered were ok.
We just moved from out of state, and trying different places, but I don’t think we’ll be back to this restaurant.

All you can eat is always 100% worth it, food is ALWAYS fresh , spring rolls , gyoza and crab Rangoons are shot and crunchy and fresh, been my favorite sushi spot since 2020 when they were at their last location, got the miso soup twice today it was nice and hottttt (temperature not spice) perfect for the cold weather ❄️ and customer service is always great they’re always checking up

I came here on a Saturday night and the place was super busy I probably waited around 1 hour for a table which is fine. I was with a group and we ordered a lot which I understand may cause some challenges for the kitchen. But all put two of our appetizers came out cold. The only one that was hot was the crab rangoons which had a great filling but the filling to wrapper ratio is way off and it could have used way more filling. The other was Tempura veggies which were warm, the broccoli was not great it was over drenched and was not finished, the mushroom was the best tempura veggies followed by the sweet potato. We did have one recurring issue with the sweet potato throughout the meal and this was that it wasn’t fully cooked which is a shame. We also got calamari, gyoza, Shumai, agedash tofu and Takoyaki all of which were cold. Some were so cold it felt to me like they had been sitting out for quite a while. We didn’t finish most of those due to that issue.

The positives for the appetizers were the miso soup which was one of the best miso soups I’ve had. The broth was amazing but it could have used more tofu; seaweed and green onion, it just felt like mostly broth. The seaweed salad was also a hit, it was delicate, savory, sweet, and had the perfect amount of citrus my friends raved about it. And got a second plate. The cucumber salad was also great, the cucumber tasted freshand high quality and had the perfect amount of vinegar.

On to the rolls. I had the Chicago roll, the volcano roll and what I think was the pop up roll. The Chicago roll was by far the best out of the three, a great mix of salmon and eel, it wasn’t over filled by cucumber and I would highly recommend this roll. The volcano roll was a massive disappointment, the tempura tasted stale and it felt like a chore to eat, I ended up leaving two pieces behind because I couldn’t make myself finish it. The Pop up roll was nothing special, it didn’t stand out to me in anyway so I have nothing really to say about it. The spicy salmon nigiri also disappointing it was incredibly bland and didn’t even taste like salmon. The shrimp nigiri was over cooked but the salmon nigiri was good, it had a wonderful rice to fish ratio.

My friends got the rainbow roll, the dragon roll, and the sweet potato roll the rainbow roll was great I would also highly recommend that one, the cucumber ratio was great and although the they were a little skimpy with the fish it was really saved by the quality of the fish and the great ratio for the maki part. I didn’t try the dragon roll but my friends did not seem very crazy about it, it had way too much cucumber compared to the eel. The sweet potato roll was good, my friends did even ordered a second, but again it was undercooked.

My overall thoughts and feelings were that this place was much better than Galaxy Hotpot and sushi and I think it would have been even better had it been less busy. It does seem that they need to work on their quality control during rush hours since sending out cold food is a bad look. I do think many of the cold appetizers would have been good had they been warm though. I would come back here during a less busy time of day and I’d probably try to avoid any of the things that say spicy since they are not really even a bit spicy.
My recommendations: miso soup, seaweed salad, cucumber salad, Chicago roll, rainbow roll, and the salmon nigiri.

We had such a lovely time at Sushi Grove! My daughter and I went for the all-you-can-eat option, and everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. The staff were friendly and attentive as always. It’s truly my family’s favorite place to go—we always leave happy and full. Highly recommend!

This restaurant does not appear to have a properly trained sushi chef, which raises serious concerns about food handling and sanitation. Sushi requires specific knowledge of safe fish storage, preparation, and hygiene. Without proper training and strict standards, there is a real risk of foodborne illness. Customers should carefully consider these risks before choosing to eat here.

When prices for unlimited sushi seem extremely low, it’s reasonable to question how the restaurant maintains its profit margins. Very cheap pricing can sometimes indicate cost-cutting on ingredient quality or staffing. It’s important to pay attention to cleanliness, freshness, and overall food safety standards before deciding to dine at any buffet-style restaurant.
