Small menu choices but everything delicious
Husband tried 2 different specialty cocktails and was not disappointed. I had 2 white Russians and they were well balanced, which seems to be rare, so clearly the bartender knew what she was doing. Husband had stuffed haddock, I had a shrimp risotto special. Happy to see a nice portobello vegan option, almost chose that above mushrooms although I am not vegan.

We had an excellent experience here when we were in the area for a late night dinner.
Service was attentive and friendly while the food and drinks were all flavorful and filling. The simple, short menu may seem unassuming to some, but to others, a simple menu is a sign of a kitchen not trying to do too much. Meaning they are focusing on putting out good food they know how to prepare.
Everything on the menu was fairly priced and well described. Though, by the time we got there late on a Saturday, some items were all out or nearly all out.
The atmosphere inside was homey and inviting with a mix of high top, bar facing, and regular table seating. We did not sit on it, but there is also outside patio seating available. Though many restaurants are like this, you should be aware that the kitchen does close 1hr before the restaurant itself closes. Also, the interior is quite small, adding to the homey feel in a way that we could imagine gets crowded when busy.
This 6 months old restaurant deserves to last much longer and we hope it does so that when we are in the area next we can stop by again. FYI, If you stop in around the time of this review, you get entered to win some free stuff including in giftcard to celebrate the restaurant being open for 6 months. Give it a try! You won’t regret it.

First time at Freedom’s. We ordered the crab dip to start and it did not disappoint nor did the crostini that was served with the dip…toasted to perfection. I had the ribeye med rare with melted garlic butter on top, temp was on point, so was the taste. This is the restaurant Farmington has been missing! Phenomenally delicious and Jim’s service was superb!

We brought our son here for his 14th birthday and it was the best decision! The atmosphere was so welcoming upon arrival. The st. Pattys day poutine special was phenomenal, we ate the entire thing (2nd picture) my son was treated to the 16oz rib eye, it was cooked to request and more than he could eat. (1st picture). I tried the the French onion soup (perfect) and the grilled romaine salad (unlike any salad I’ve ever had, so GOOD!) and the chefs burger which was cooked to perfection with insane flavor. Highly recommend visiting!

Freedom’s is a classic reflection of the American spirit. One of the owners worked nearby as a bartender until she and her partner got the nerve to strike out on their own and start a restaurant, no small feat and one that many people, including the group that was in the space they took over weren’t able to pull off. The bar staff is friendly, capable, helpful, and will mix up pretty much anything you can think of, even cocktails without the shame. Their food is excellent, tasy, well-prepared and presented well. They frequently have a line waiting in a town of only 14k people, and they serve the best steak in town! The prices have followed the price of food and while not exactly “affordable”, they are set just right for a nice restaurant you go to for special occasions. The waitstaff are friendly and amenable, even on the busiest days, and, as you often see in small restaurants in small towns, the owner’s Mom helps out hostessing. It’s a great piece of Americana and I’ll be shocked if you are disappointed. We’ve been there 8 times and just keep coming back!

Wow this exceeded our high expectations! We knew and loved their food truck, but the restaurant is next level. We took pictures of the French onion soup and grilled romaine Caesar, and then forgot to take more, but the crab dip, stuffed haddock and burger were truly delicious – plus hand cut fries and brussels sprouts. We’ll be back!

Quickly, seated, promptly served with a smile, this place rules! Fantastic drinks, delicious appetizers and deserts, all very timely as we only had an hour to make it to a play nearby. Entire staff is lovely and outgoing! Will be revisiting frequently until the day I die. Best food and drinks in Farmington!

I believe the burgers were from the freezer section in Walmart. They tasted freezer burnt and came out of the kitchen cold. The fries weren’t even fries. They looked as though it was the bottom of the bag crumbs. Would not recommend for the prices. Very disappointed with how it came out. Only because I had high hopes for it to be a good place to go out. However the drinks were very good. Still overall experience was not good. The hostess that sat us was rude. The waitress made rude comments but wasn’t terrible with service.

Our family has been coming to Farmington since 2018 a few times a year and I wish this place had been open since then. The food is amazing and the service is even better. Our server Jim was very friendly and hilarious. It’s obvious he loves his job. The steak was perfectly cooked and all of our kids ate all of their food which doesn’t always happen. We leave in a few days and plan on coming back for more great food. Crab dip was delicious and seasoned perfectly.
