Gudvangen seafood restaurant is situated right by the fjord with spectacular views of the fjord, mountains and passing boats. In our restaurant we prepare freshly made meals from our big selection of seafood. We use innovative culinary techniques and genuine passion for seafood in order to highlight the fantastic taste of it. Our goal is to create an extraordinary dining experience that goes hand in hand with the spectacular location that we have. Seafood restaurant is closed until may 2026.

Very tasty dishes in reasonable prices as for Norway. We had cod and wolffish and it was fresh, tastes were perfectly adjusted. Portions very accurate but if you’re really hungry I adjust to order a starter. Highly recommend

I read some of the reviews before coming here. Seemed like most of the negative ones were about price and flavor. I’m not sure what those people were smoking when they wrote that review.
This is my first time in Norway and I came here knowing that it’s an expensive country compared to mine. But the prices at this restaurant are equal to the prices back home for the same meal if not cheaper. Very reasonably priced.
Flavor and presentation was amazing, like super fancy high end restaurant quality for again a reasonable price.
Then you have the stunning view while you eat.
The only issue I had was at the end of the meal. I was trying to tip 10% which I think was a reasonable amount for a tip. But the machine was saying the tip amount was too low. I don’t think there should be a minimum on tips.
Over all great experience and amazing food.

Very good dinner, the seafood and fishes are fresh and well cooked. We went early (19h) and had a wonderfull evening with some seals coming to say hello to us in the fjord. I can’t speak for the quality of the service from a week ago since i saw a bad comment on the restaurant but ours was neat, i guess they made the good decisions!

Avoid at all costs, but particularly because the price is disproportionate to the quality of the food served.
We had the seafood platter, salmon and halibut. The platter was a real disappointment with the prawns overcooked and tough while the dressed crab had no flavour to speak of. At 1400Kro for 2 people, this was absolutely appalling.
The salmon and halibut were decent, but in tiny portions. The “fillet” of halibut was literally a 13cm square of fish on a bed of baby potatoes.
I understand this is high season and a touristic area, so perhaps the prices are to be expected, but visiting Norway is perhaps a once in a lifetime event and this was a complete disappointment.
