Vintner’s Grill is the on-site restaurant at Radisson Hotel Santa Maria. Select a tasty entrée from our seasonal menu of American and continental fare, and pair it with an exquisite local wine. You can order classics like filet mignon and prime rib or something light like a mango ahi salad or house-made crab cakes.

The food was decent and server was not friendly. Almost like he didn’t want to be bothered. I asked for no ice in my water, he poured me a cup full of ice water at the tableside. The restaurant was empty but he walked swiftly past without checking on us. The breading was falling of the fish and lightly seasoned.

I enjoyed coming to this restaurant. I flew into Santa Maria and they have a nice place to tie down your plane outside. While the downsides are that the restaurant is maybe a little run down or sparsely decorated, and it took a while to get seated, the food was excellent and the wait staff was so friendly. They had a great deal on Foxen wine which we gladly took advantage of. I got the queen’s cut prime rib and my spouse got the Nashville hit chicken. Both were great! I know that <4 stars is usually suspect, but I really enjoyed my time here. Please don’t hesitate to try especially if you are a traveler at the hotel and need to take it easy.

Just gave this star ratings, but I wanted to come back to it. Read some lukewarm reviews going 4 to 9 months back. Sorry it wasn’t super at that time. I had great service and a great meal that was well prepared and came out of the kitchen in a reasonable time frame. My guess is people rotate in and out of these jobs from time to time, and you have hits and misses.
I had the salmon with roasted potatoes and French cut green beans. The salmon portion was bigger than I expected and cooked perfectly. Also had a nice presentation.

It was Valentine’s Day. I had booked a window seat for 6 pm for my wife and I, 7 days in advance. When we arrived, we were seated at a reserved table by the window. A waiter came by and gave us menus and 2 glasses of water. He told us he was not the waiter and there was not enough staff at the moment to accommodate everyone. Customers were coming in. We sat there for 25 minutes and still no waiter came by to give us drinks, or take our order. We drank our water. A couple came in and were seated behind us. They immediately had a waiter, who took their drink orders and their menu orders. We got up to leave and told one of the managers what had occurred. He said they could do nothing about it because they had overbooked. Really? Valentine’s Day? No flowers on the table? No service? $70 a person? I will never return, and we live locally. A complete failure for my wife.

We came for dinner at 8:30 ish, saw that they closed at 10:00 so we knew there was plenty of time. We got there we were the only ones in the restaurant and we’re told they closed at 9:00, I said your website says you close at 10:00 she says I know we need to change that, Hello???? We quickly ordered our food, it was absolutely horrible. Rice that was scraped from the bottom of the pan dried out cold, the worst dinner I think we’ve ever had. I asked the waitress if she could take something off of our bill, we didn’t eat it she said, I’ll give you 20% discount reluctantly. Don’t waste your money go down the street to Peppers Garcia’s Mexican Restaurant, they treat you right and they have good food. Never again. The Radisson has really gone down hill.

The food was pretty good besides a bit of unmented cheese on the scalloped potatoes and the service was a bit slow. Our waiter seemed to be the only one and you could tell he was trying his best. We were sat next to a very loud very big group (not that I really minded) but our waiter seemed very apologetic even thought we were fine with it because it obviously wasn’t his fault. Still, he took the desserts we ordered off our bill in apology. You can really tell they want to make their customers happy.

My fish and chips had plenty of fish filets, more than enough for one person. My wife’s fried chicken was perfect, crispy on the outside moist and tender inside. The sides were high quality also.

Listen,, it’s a good bar but even if they’re busy and having a grand ole time they’ll still call last call 30 min prior to close (at 9pm) . Almost like they don’t want money. Its truly crazy to me, I don’t get it. Been coming here for 3 years and all of a sudden they choose to not make money. There is 10 people at the bar but regardless they close, I guess they just don’t want ti make money .
If it were my choice they’d be open until the last person left. I guess I’ll never understand this place regardless of how much money we have given them over the years. To each their own.

Everything was good, just always scary. When you’re the only person in the place.. This hotel and restaurant is extremely nice. Not sure why it’s empty.. Probably why I got the great room rate. I’ve eaten here two nights in a row now and it’s been very good like I said just still not sure why this place is so empty it’s extremely nice happy to be here.

Even if you’re here with 20 people they will still close the bar at their termination point even if you’re with a lot of people and having a good time they will close you out. It’s almost like they don’t wanna make money. We bring 50 people here every year and they still close the bar as early as possible as if they don’t want to make money so we end up having to Uber somewhere else to give our money to someone else. like they don’t want to make money here. It’s a bit Insane. We try an average two to $3000 a night for their bar earnings and they still want to close us out early and I don’t understand it.
Good bar overall but they could do better
