Great meal, great atmosphere. We went here for some casual dining before going to the paramount for a show. The focaccia bread was amazing, and we both got pizzas which were very delicious! Also the desert choices were good. Lemon sorbet & peppermint bark brownie 12/10.

We wandered into this lovely bar before a show at the Paramount, and I’m so glad we found this place. The food, service and atmosphere are all amazing! I love the jazzy feel, unique seating, and genrous shareable dishes. We tried their roasted beets, calamari, and Italian sub salad – all of it was fabulous. My husband was especially impressed with the calamari, with which they took a tangier flavor profile than most. I was surprised and delighted with the toasted beets – golden beets, served chilled, with a really unique set of complimentary textures and flavors.

This is one place that I am so disappointed I didn’t check for reviews first. By FAR one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a very long time going out for a drink. Place was not overly busy when I went with my mom and daughter and yet we waited by host stand to be seated while we felt the bar staffed stared at us. They sat us in bar at a table and we said we were just having a drink while we wait for doors to open at the paramount across the street so we didn’t need to order food. Took about 10 min before the waitress finally came over to take our order. By that time, I noticed the table that sat after us already had drinks but their waiter had promptly took their order right away when seated. Our waitress gave us the notice that no matter what there is a 20% service charge no matter the party size. Annoyed? Yes! But thought maybe service would be GREAT! HAAAA it was anything but that! She didn’t seem like she wanted to be there. The lack of smiles or urgency to help anyone was lost. All staff looks like they were just there for a paycheck and didn’t care about giving anyone an experience. Drinks are expensive and absolutely horrible and then to add 20% tip, NOT WORTH IT! It took about 25 min to get our drinks. Seeing how fast everyone else got theirs, not sure she even put our order in. And to top that off, my daughter and my drink came out first and then my mom had to wait another 10 min before hers came. Our drinks were not complicated either. The waitress had walked by and saw my mom didn’t have her drink and said “your drink should be out shortly” shortly? It’s been over 30 min! She never checked on them to see where are drinks where and not once did she ask how they were or if we needed anything. My mom said it was the worst drink she’s had ever so she drank 2 sips and left it. For 3 very tiny disgusting drinks plus 20% that they didn’t deserve….$56! Wasted!
I realized when we were getting ready to leave that one of the girls that sat at the table after us was a regular and the bartender yelled across away and asked her what she would like to drink so clearly they will take care of certain people that they’re familiar with, but they don’t care about the ones that are new customers. Definitely spend your money elsewhere because had I known the service was this crappy with a 20% service charge I would’ve taken my money gladly elsewhere

Gosh I love this place. This review is long overdue. Tay and Joe are so awesome, I would come just to hangout with them. The chefs put something magical in the artichoke dip. I think the secret ingredient is love.
I’ve also had the pleasure of chatting with the manager DeRon. Cool cat. See you guys soon

It only gets one star because of the convenience from Paramount. There were three in our party. When we walked through the doors, there were a few groups that followed in right after us. We were all standing in the entry, waiting for someone to show up and greet us and to be seated. We are all looking around, wondering who that person was going to be, or “should” have been. That right there should’ve been some indication of the service to follow.
Once we were seated, the server immediately gave the disclaimer that an AUTOMATIC 20% would be added to the bill. REALLY?? For a party of 3?? At that point, we should have walked out. T.I.P. means “To Insure Promptness”. The service most definitely didn’t reflect that!! The wait staff (minimal) had long faces and didn’t appear to enjoy their jobs, nor be in a hurry to get to anyone. Once we placed the order for our drinks, only two of the three drink drinks arrived… That was after a full 30 minutes! The third drink didn’t arrive until 10 minutes after that! The first two drinks that arrived were mediocre at best. My drink, (which was a simple, basic drink) was, hands down, the worst one I have ever had. I took a couple sips and could NOT stomach the rest. It did not even taste close to what the drink should’ve been. I was not willing to wait another half hour to have them remake it.
Also, when we were sitting there waiting for those drinks, we were watching the bartender, who appeared to not even care about the job he was doing…that was evident. None of the staff seem to want to be there or enjoy their jobs.
You need to change your business model because, evidently, something is not working.

Pros: Drinks were strong and tasty, food was good. It’s convenient because it’s attached to the convention center.
Cons: Service was below average – our server only checked in if we loudly stopped him. Automatic 20% tip regardless of service.
Will we go back? Probably not. I would if the service was better, but it ruined the experience for us this time.

Bombo in Seattle is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm and attentive customer service that sets the tone for an incredible dining experience. The location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of downtown Seattle, making it a perfect spot whether you’re attending an event at the Convention Center or just exploring the city. The food? Outstanding. Every dish is crafted with care and bursts with flavor.
And let me tell you about the desserts—absolutely divine! The dessert we had was the highlight of an already amazing meal. It was so rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented that it left us talking about it long after we left.
From start to finish, everything about Bombo was flawless—the food, the service, the ambiance—it all came together to create a truly memorable experience. I can’t recommend this place enough! If you’re in Seattle, do yourself a favor and visit Bombo. You won’t regret it!

Drinks are decent, but I will go for the classics.
The old fashioned is decent with reasonable price, but the flying monkey is a bit too sweet in my opinion.
There is a default 22% here, not too surprising as a convection center but not for a bar. Plus, I don’t think there is anything extraordinary here.
Still a good bar in this area, but I might not want to head over because of the 22% gratuity.

Not a destination bar, but if I was walking past, I may stop again. Their mixology is a little too generous with strong flavors, so I’d stay away from specialty cocktails and stick to something you know.
This bar does charge a mandatory 22% service charge, but they are very upfront with it and tell you as you are being seated, so it’s not a surprise. They tell you that tipping is not required. The wait staff is very nice, but I sense that there is high turnover because many of them seemed like they were still learning.
The seating arrangement is extremely unique, and the short tables and chairs that require you to hunch over are an interesting touch.
All in all, I believe the three stars this bar has on average are earned and are an accurate assessment. If it weren’t for the quality customer service, I’d probably rate it less.
