What a gem in Gravenhurst! Super friendly people who I assume are the owners. The food was extremely good. We had ordered Chicken Dhansik, Dhaba Style Daal, rice and Naan. I apologize that before I could take a photo we’d already dived in….the aroma was so fragrant we couldn’t resist. Highly recommended!!!

Went there on new year’s eve as we were in muskoka. The food was below average. Didn’t enjoyed a single bite. Papdi chaat- papdi was too hard that even dahi couldn’t soften it & it had no taste of chaat. Chicken tikka masala which they said it’s their popular item – DO NOT ORDER IT! Chicken had a very different smell and taste. And you can see in the photos how naan looked like it was like a pizza dough.

Surprisingly this is a very good place for Indian food we were not expecting it but it turned out good. We tried Nan platter, butter chicken, kabab, daal bhorukha, paneer sabji.. all items were really good and so was the service.

Great place to get authentic Indian food- I loved the chai and the curry was good too. The ambience is very nice too, and the service as great. Recommend this.

After two days of travel, our group of nine decided to eat at the only Indian restaurant in Graven Halls, hoping for a proper Indian meal. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had.

We first ordered Chicken Madras, but it didn’t taste or look like the real thing — not even close. Thinking it was just a one-off issue, we ordered Chicken Handi, expecting at least a basic, decent chicken curry. But both dishes tasted exactly the same, and neither matched authentic Indian flavors at all.

To make things worse, the food was clearly coming out of the fridge, not freshly prepared. Everything tasted reheated and bland, yet the prices were ridiculously high. You’d expect better quality for what they charge, but they seem confident people will settle for anything simply because they’re the only Indian restaurant in the area.

When we tried to talk to the server, he was completely dismissive and said they wouldn’t take the dish back — no apology, no effort to fix the issue.

Overall, this was the worst customer service and food experience I’ve ever had — overpriced, poor quality, and completely lacking hospitality.

We ordered Butter Chicken, Chicken Madras and Chicken Curry and all the dishes were very bland and Chicken Curry and Chicken Madras were made using the same gravy and it tasted the same.

We tried to explain it to the server and he did not care about the food quality and he did not make any efforts to make it right.

Being Indian, I can say this is not how Indian food tastes like, such a horrible experience.

Don’t get me started on the Naan, it was just warmed up out of ready-made packages.

If you really want to experience Indian food, please visit other restaurants in GTA and avoid this place.

Do not waste your time and money by visiting this place.

People are kind but the food sucks. Everything is bland, watery and flavourless. We ordered the Chicken Korma which we usually get from marigold in bracebridge… it wasn’t even comparable. Zero flavour

We absolutely love this Indian restaurant. The owners are very friendly as well. They used to have another restaurant in the GTA until their lease term ended, which was a shame for us because it was convenient for us to pop in for some takeout as we passed through the Toronto area. Now we will drive over an hour out of our way from the cottage just to stop in and grab some food to go. We love Indian Food and of the dozens we have tried over the years, this one is our favourite. The butter chicken is a MUST!

So happy to have this lovely restaurant as one of the options in Gravenhurst. We did take out. The food was piping hot.
Everything was delicious. Perfectly spicy.
Even the rice has some lovely colour in it to make it extra appealing! (would love to have a cardamom pod or two it in for more flavour)
The menu has plenty of options.
Excited to go again to try more dishes!
