Reviews
The staff is less than enthusiastic. They took forever just to give us the grape leaves only for them to be frozen. We asked them to warn them up but they didn’t make them warm, they just thawed it to room temperature. I wish they served Salam Cola, not cocoa cola.
Overall, we would come here again.
First, let’s talk about the food, because that should be the main reason anyone comes here. I ordered a mixed kabob platter, expecting flavorful, juicy meat and warm, fresh bread. What I received was the complete opposite. The meat was extremely dry and overcooked, especially the beef kabob. It was tough, chewy, and lacked any real seasoning. I had to chew for far too long just to swallow a single bite, and even then it wasn’t enjoyable. The chicken wasn’t much better — bland, dry, and clearly overgrilled to the point where it had lost all moisture.
The rice was another letdown. It tasted old and reheated, with no aroma, no fluffiness, and no seasoning. It felt like an afterthought, something scooped onto the plate just to fill space rather than complement the kabob. The portion size might look okay at first glance, but when the food itself is this low quality, quantity doesn’t matter.
The bread, which is supposed to be one of the highlights of the place, was also inconsistent. Some pieces were overly burned on the outside while still oddly doughy inside. Instead of warm, soft, and comforting, it tasted stale and rushed. For a place that emphasizes bread, this was extremely disappointing.
Now let’s discuss service, which made the experience even worse. The staff seemed uninterested and inattentive. There was no friendliness, no effort to explain the menu, and no check-in to see if the food was okay. When I mentioned that the meat was dry, the response felt dismissive, almost as if my complaint was an inconvenience rather than valid feedback. There was no apology or attempt to fix the issue.
The restaurant atmosphere didn’t help either. The dining area felt neglected — tables weren’t properly cleaned, and the overall environment felt dull and unwelcoming. Instead of feeling like a cozy neighborhood kabob spot, it felt rushed and careless, as if customer experience simply wasn’t a priority.
What makes this experience even more frustrating is the price. The meal wasn’t cheap, and for what I paid, I expected at least decent quality. Instead, it felt like I paid a premium for food that could easily be beaten by many other kabob places in the area. When you’re charging these prices, consistency and quality should be guaranteed — and they clearly aren’t here.
Overall, this was a huge disappointment. Dry, flavorless meat, poorly prepared sides, inconsistent bread, unenthusiastic service, and a forgettable atmosphere all combined to make this a place I will not be returning to. There are far better kabob options out there that actually respect their customers and take pride in their food.
I don’t enjoy leaving bad reviews, but this experience truly earned it. Unless major improvements are made in food quality, preparation, and customer service, I cannot recommend this bread and kabob store to anyone.
The staff greeted me warmly and immediately began preparing my food. I sat at the counter and watched as local families dined while the staff prepared my fresh chicken kabob – which was juicy and perfectly seasoned. The bread is soft, yet chewy, perfect filled with meat and stewed chickpeas. When the owner swung by and asked how it was, my answer, and the answer, was that its perfect.
