Amazing food, great ambience, welcoming staff. I was just out on a walk and came across the place. I just order a starter as Fish Tikka and it was incredible. Soft n tender fish, perfect marination, perfectly spiced with mint chutney. Completely blew my mind. Im sure other food items must be amaizng too. Highly recommended

We had a wonderful experience at Mother India in Mellieha and can honestly say this is a place worth recommending to everyone visiting Malta.
The food was absolutely delicious. The Butter Chicken was rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced in flavor. The tandoori grilled meats were juicy and beautifully seasoned, and the naan bread was simply outstanding — fresh, soft, and ideal for dipping into the sauces.
Our children were just as happy: they loved the smoothies and the Neapolitan-style pasta, which shows how well this restaurant combines both Indian and Mediterranean cuisine under one roof.
A very special mention goes to the kind waiter with glasses who was working on January 18th and 19th around 3:00–4:00 PM — a truly wonderful person. His warmth, professionalism, and genuine care for guests made our visits even more pleasant.
We even recommended this place to other Polish guests, who ordered seafood dishes right next to us — and they looked just as beautiful and appetizing.
If we are lucky enough to return to Malta, we will definitely come back to Mother India again.

Chef Amar has some magic in his hands he prepare very nice and delicious food.

The food is delicious, and the concept of combining two restaurants into one is brilliant—you can choose between Indian cuisine or burgers and fries. I always order takeout, but recently I dined in at the restaurant, and the owner was incredibly welcoming and attentive to the customers. It’s clear they put a lot of heart into running the place. I even saw the owner kindly guiding some tourists who arrived after closing time to another spot where they could eat. This level of care and dedication is why I will continue to support this restaurant. Just based on the owner’s attitude, they’ve earned my loyalty

My sister and I ate here and we loved the food, it was filling and flavourful, but the staff were amazing! Very friendly people, social, approachable, and there are also a lot of diverse food options for people here. Highly recommend!

Please don’t eat at this restaurant. Myself and my partner had a meal here xmas eve. Worst Indian we have ever been in. Food wasn’t cooked , my partner sent his back as was cold . Im not keen on complaining so just up with it . When my partner tried my meal he told me not to eat it as it wasn’t hot at all.. chicken was slimey. My partner had a phal curry not spicy at all. 2 other couples complained about the quality and meals not being cooked properly. Restaurant staff got angry as my partner complained when it first came out so they microwaved it to make it warmer . Hardly any chicken slimey tasted off . Found a bone in it or something hard .owner will make a load of rubbish up and be very rude if you complain and leave a bad review. Shocking place needs to be shut down ..DONT EAT HERE.

This is by far one of the best Indians I have ever eaten at. From the starter to the service, everything exceeded our expectations. The waitress with the pink hair was super friendly & helpful. Highly recommend the chicken korma & pilau rice.
