Bonito in Olathe is a hidden gem that hits every mark. The tacos are loaded with fresh, flavorful meat that melts in your mouth, and their salsa? Pure magic—spicy, bold, and unforgettable. No frills, just ridiculously good food that keeps you coming back.

This was my time here. We came as we heard the tacos were the best in Kansas City. For me, the hunt for the best Taco in KC is still on. The restaurant section was very dirty. We had to ask for a table – any table- to be would clean. The tacos were meh. Nothing special. The beans and rice the same. The grocery section is interesting as is the meat. For those looking for authentic Mexican grocery this is probably as close to the boarder as you’ll get in KC. My husband plans to go back— without this Chica.

This place is so close to 5 stars, only because I had to eat my tacos while trying to keep warm.
But man, that food warms you up fast. Snagged their weekend-only menudo – rich, peppery broth with tripe so tender it could convert a hater. I ate a small bit there and saved the rest for Sunday’s hangover, after stuffing my face with the most tender lengua tacos, just beefy velvet on fresh tortillas. Tripa had that golden crisp I chase at food trucks but rarely find indoors.
Craving authentic Mexican food in KC? Bonito Michoacan might just be the metro’s best-kept secret.

I’ve been there once a week to eat tacos. It was last Sunday that I ordered 3 chicken tacos; they were freshly made, so I added 2 more.

I got menudo and barbacoa to go. Way too much pig foot in my menudo. That was 80% of the meat. I like the pata, it was just too much. The meat chunks were alsp cut pretty big. I take big bites, and i thought the meat was cut to big even for me. The barbacoa was amazing! I will still go here. The food is usually really good in my opinion. Maybe they were just off their game this last weekend.

I’m disappointed that my family and I were unable to order an annual Rosca de Reyes bread for celebration despite seeing advertisements that this place was the best place to order from.
I have never been inside this Mexican Bakery due to the commute nor have I ever had the opportunity to try any of their bakery items. You’re unable to ask any questions or placed any orders over the phone because no one speaks English. When a Spanish speaker answers the phone, they hang up on you immediately because they don’t understand English which is so unprofessional.
It’s frustrating that they do not allow online ordering unlike most businesses around here. They do not respond to any emails (they have their email listed online supposedly) nor do they respond to any social media posts.
You can’t expect customers to drive all the way to the bakery to order if they do not know the prices or how long it will take to prepare the food.
Where is the Marketing Team for this business? It’s no wonder why this place doesn’t gain more customers.

This place is always my to go tacos. It is located inside Mexican market. They have varieties of tacos meat, bowl and soup. The food is very authentic. Staff don’t speak much English, but they can follow body language. Tacos used to be $1, but now it’s $2+, still affordable comparing to other places. The amount of meat is generous and the quality is unchanged.

Best street tacos in Johnson County. We love all the varieties. Great quality meat, super soft tortillas and a nice variety of salsas from a salsa bar. Excellent quality for an unbeatable price.

The tacos were fantastic among other things. The energy and theme of the restaurant added to the whole experience. We got the 3 different meats for the street tacos and they all had such great flavor and were very tender. The sauce included was a nice smoky enhancement. Service was perfect.
