I am a true believer of supporting small businesses and keep the economy growing. I am only leaving a bad review not because I paid $50+ for food I couldn’t even bare to take a bite and the small bottled wine, or because I didn’t get refunded for the food that after showing the bartender how chicken strips look black and dirty and asked him: “would you eat it? he looked at it and said, probably not” he then said you should’ve showed me before you paid. I wasn’t planning to eat there. I ordered a glass of wine while I was waiting for my take out and then started raining so I figured I waited a little while.
I saw him showed the cook as I said, you can just dump it.
The cook response was I added oil to the fryer this morning.
Right there!
You just don’t add oil to a fryer with dirty oil!
You filter it if still clear.
I honestly don’t mind spending a little money here and there this is more about we live in small towns and depend on customers to strive. When you are selling a customer a chicken that looks black and nasty it’s not the business owners fault but their employees.
adding oil to a fryer with already burnt oil it’s not ok when you are selling food.
I see the efforts of the business owners to keep this spot going. I’ve been there, and one rule I’m passionate about,:
never sacrifice quality over a cheap sale.
We need our small town bars but honestly it’s not ok for employees to cook like whatever when customers do come in.
Support your local businesses indeed but care about the quality of what you are selling.
I apologize for leaving this bad review as I used to owned a restaurant and hated bad reviews but then I learned to used them to grow and learn from my mistakes. I did go out of business with my chin up as i gave my best at the wrong place.
However this is the third time. first time was under done so the bartender reordered it and made it right, Second time,
I get to my house and again under done. This time I remembered to ask please make sure they are well done, I mean who likes bloody chicken?
So then I get charcoal chicken!
If you are passing by definitely stop by. Not bad overall just not for me.

My adult son just moved to the area. We decided to take a break from unpacking and try the local, “Spott. The place was clean and inviting, and the server was attentive. I have to say the food selection for such a small town is out of this world, AMAZING! I had a hard time deciding what to order. They have many signature menu items. I was extremely impressed with their signature garlic aioli chicken melt, served on texas toast. My son enjoyed the chicken bacon ranch wrap. We both had French fries. They were crisp and battered, and so goood. I enjoyed my fries dipped in their French dressing. I highly recommend this place for delicious food!

Had a chicken melt here and it was recommended by the bartender and it was amazing a little messy but dang was it good and the beer was cold …. the conversation with the locals was good and they didn’t hesitate to call me by name . I recommended the spot for good food and good environment to eat that food .

Stopped for lunch and they do everything right. Great special, the food was awesome and came out quickly, everything was meticulously clean, and staff was friendly and attentive. I even sat at the bar and had a great conversation with a couple regulars.

Had the Bear burger. It was delicious. I chise the regular fries. Not a fan of their regular fries. I’ll try the Waffle fries next time. The food and service were great. The owner/wife was very nice. I had The Porky sandwich. It was excellent.
