Absolute culinary delight in the middle of Catania! Coming from Dallas, we are spoiled for choice when it comes to Indian restaurants and my expectations were high. However, Indian Royal restaurant Di Yoga chef surpassed even those expectations!
The host – Ayushman – was incredibly gracious and accommodating with recommendations as well as giving us information about their story in Catania.
The food cooked by his mom – who’s the chef – was simply world class. Everything we tasted from the humble pakora to various curries was packed with flavor and had that homemade taste.
The mixed pakoda appetizer was tasty and the presentation was beautiful! The dal makhni was on point, the chicken curry was incredibly flavorful and so was the vegetable biryani. The star of the show for me was the baingan bharta (roasted eggplant) which was the special for the day – perfectly cooked, slightly smoky and the perfect balance of spice.
At the end we even had the pleasure of meeting the chef herself. Such a kind and humble person.
All in all….a truly memorable experience which we will never forget. This is such a wonderful family running this place and I wish them much much success! If you are in Catania, please visit this restaurant and thank me later!

This restaurant always serves delicious Indian curry. I stayed in Catania for about three weeks, and I can’t count how many times I visited this restaurant.
The flavors are so enticing that from the moment I leave the restaurant full, I want to return. If my stomach were bigger, I could enjoy even more types of curry, but unfortunately my stomach’s capacity is too small…
The wines recommended by the owner are also nice, bringing out the flavor of curry and creating a gorgeous meal.
This is one restaurant I’ll definitely visit again next time.

I highly recommend this amazing Punjabi restaurant, we were absolutely delighted with the delicious flavours, with dishes not available in our part of Italy. We were made to feel like family, the food is cooked & presented with such passion. I even checked the bill twice on the way out as we couldn’t believe how little it cost.

This is a fantastic choice if you feel like authentic Indian food with amazing service while you are in Catania. My mum was craving some Indian food during our Italy trip and we randomly stumbled onto this place. Ikki immediately made us reservations for that evening. The service by him was amazing and he truely made my mum feel comfortable while we were so far from home. The food was all amazing. The starter board we had was delicious, my favourite was the spring rolls and mixed vegetable pakodas. The main meals all had fantastic and dynamic flavours. Especially the shahi paneer and daal makhaani. The deserts were simply a must try as well. Hats off to Ikkis mother who is the chef! Our experience with service, food and atmosphere here was one of the best in Italy!

My coworkers and I came here for an after work dinner and the son/owner was very kind and treated us like family. He let us know that his mom was the only cook in the kitchen, which is amazing because she pushed out so much tasty food, quickly. He made sure all of our questions were answered and even recommend what he thought was best for our palates. I recommend trying the chickpea curry. I would eat here again!

This was my best experience ever in an Indian Restaurant. Beginning with the service (nice & kind son of the chef with a funny moustache) and the terrific food. I have asked for recommendation and everything was delicious and very well presented. I will definitely come again!

The staff (Ikki) is very friendly. He greets everyone with warmth and gladly helps out for recommendations etc.. the food is very delicious, we tried the sheekh kabab and it was super delicious.
Special note on the quality of rice. It looked and tasted very rich. We just ordered jeera rice, the thickness and texture of it was of premium quality. I have tried rice items in a lot of Indian restaurants across Europe, but never found good quality rice as most of the restaurants compromise on it. But the cook in this place took care of it which makes this restaurant stand out among others.

Flawless food and experience. As tourists we preferred to visit italian restaurants but looking at the ratings of this place we wanted to give it a try and it did not disappoint. Amazingly rich tastes and exceptionally attractive service. Could not recommend enough to visit.

If you’re looking for some authentic Indian cuisine, then this is the place to go. From the moment you walk into their restaurant, they make you feel at home as they are very helpful and friendly. The food is so fresh and absolutely delicious! I’ve been coming back and forth to Catania for the past four years now and this is by far the best Indian restaurant in the area!
