Nice cozy spot, a bit hidden so not too crowded on a regular day. Food is authentic and very tasty. The atmosphere is great. Love the tablecloths! The menu could be more clear (ie. no drink menu), and the service could improve (we were the only guests and had to ask for attention). Id describe the service as very relaxed Overall, I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice quiet place with delicious food.

Food was very tasteful. The staff is very pleasant. Food comes out quick. The margaritas was a little water down. The salsa was great made in-house. If your in the area I would recommend for sure. Even for a lunch place not just for dinner.

First time eating here but it’s not the last time. Took my wife out for her birthday. She’s the one who chose this restaurant. She had the El Paso burrito and I had the BBB burrito . See the enclosed photos that just don’t do the HUGE SIZE of the burrito .
Our waitress (Bitty) was very friendly and very attentive to our needs.
If you are in the area and hungry for some great food, stop by for some fantastic food.

El Paso in Plainville was a great spot for lunch. Inside of location definitely takes you outside of Plainville. It feels like a Mexican location restaurant. Server was very friendly. Tacos were served very hot. Chicken taco was a bit dry. Al Pastor taco had great flavor. Shrimp taco was the best of these three. All tacos were made with two soft shells and all were filled with lots of meat and fillings. Would go again.

The service was horrible. I was the only one there and the server told me five times she would be there in a minute and she was talking to another server and on her phone and I sat there over 15 minutes when I finally ordered I asked her a couple of questions about a dish I was ordering and she said it tells you on the menu what’s in it and I said no it doesn’t and I showed her. She didn’t even say anything or go check with anyone. I want a dessert and she named two things to me and I didn’t care for either one. I said that’s all you have you don’t have churros or fried ice cream and she said yes we have churros (after she didn’t mention them). I ordered them and got four tiny pieces. They were very dry and I asked if they had ice cream and she said yes, another thing she didn’t tell me prior when I asked. So I ordered the ice cream because they were so dry. The churros were $7.99 for four little pieces and $3 for a half of cup of ice cream. I’ve heard good things about this restaurant and I wanted Mexican food so I tried it but I will not be a repeat customer.

This is an outstanding local restaurant serving delicious, authentic Mexican food. They use fresh, high-quality ingredients and have a diverse menu with choices for all tastes. My lunch special had the first soda free, only charging for refills. That’s a great policy and I wish more places did that. Edit: Beware though, refills of chips cost extra…most places don’t do that.

Waste of my money, very upsetting. Watery refried beans, tough steak, and the Enchiladas were literally drowning in sauce. Smothered is an understatement, my entire meal was literally soupy. My coworkers quesadillas looked pretty sad as well. Everything was so soggy and wet it spilled all over the takeout bags. I spent over 50$ plus tipped for a pick up order and they couldn’t even give us a bag of chips. I wouldn’t have mind if it tasted better, but the rice and beans is flavorless. Only real flavor is the fresh toppings, I ate a few bites but it’s just not appetizing whatsoever. First and last time eating here again, very disappointed.

I can honestly say I’ve never had worst food than the takeout order I just ordered.
To start, the plastic bag all the food was in was beyond soaked with the condensation. Dripping everywhere. I ordered nachos for myself, a kids quesadilla for my son and a side of beans. The quesadilla comes with rice and he wanted both sides.
My nachos had no toppings as advertised. It was legit chips with the largest amount of refried beans I’ve ever seen. There was no cheese (I dug through them looking), no lettuce, jalapeno, tomatoes.. everything advertised in the menu was missing. My son’s cheese quesadilla was mostly browned tortilla with a little sprinkle of cheese in the middle. It also didn’t come with rice, as advertised, but with beans. So of the 3 items we ordered which should be predominantly cheese focused, we received maybe a teaspoon of cheese in the quesadilla, none on the nachos and probably enough refried beans to feed an army. I’ve never seen this many refried beans in my life. The side of salsa we were giving as “complimentary” smelled very old too. It was bubbling and smelt super acidic. I think it’s been sitting a while. I threw the entire order away. Biggest waste. Maybe they’re good when you eat in but don’t ever order takeout!
