I’ve read about this place a few times and after a thorough disappointing day, I drove by it and thought of let me try it

4:30 PM on a Tuesday. Not very busy with people inside. But hey, who eats Dinner at 4:30 except for morons like me. As my girlfriend likes to referred to is, I’m looking for a senior discount even though I’m not old.

I like the atmosphere in this place. Relaxing with good country music. Service was good and friendly and courteous

The food was phenomenal. I ordered the brisket meal with mac & cheese, cornbread, and coleslaw. The coleslaw was outstanding along with the mac & cheese, and truly like the cornbread. The meat was served hot with barbecue sauce on top in which I asked for.
The meal was so good. I actually ordered the meal again, but with pulled pork and that was also equivalently phenomenal.

Seems like it’s a tremendous takeout business due to 56 people came in ordered and left

Highly recommended nicely priced. A meal with two sides cornbread and a drink was approximately $17 and the portions were good portions.

Highly suggested if you’re in the area or you live in the area and you want to take some home for dinner

When this place first opened I ranted and raved to people that they had to try it. The new owners swear up and down that nothing has changed since the original owners. I am attaching a picture of a BBQ pizza from 2020 and one from 2025. You can see and most definitely taste the difference.

I ordered here because Rick‘s ribs were closed and I have to say I am very disappointed. The atmosphere looks and feels like a real deal good rib joint, but it taste like it’s boiled and then put barbecue sauce on. There’s no bark. There’s no smoky flavor just very plain and water down. I’m sorry I really wanted to like these ribs.

If I could give 2.5 stars I would have. We ate here on 5/29/2024 after not being by in a while and all ordered the same thing, Brisket Philly. There was a giant sign saying on Wednesdays, there is a special of 20% off. The three of us all paid full price not even noticing there was no discount. Oh well we thought, mistakes happen. The problem was that we overpaid from the food we received. The Philly sandwiches used to be big and that’s what we were craving. We were incredibly disappointed when we opened our meals just to discover that they are about a half of the original size for the same price. While it was good food, I feel like the value for what you receive is not there any longer.

We had Richie’s for our annual family reunion. We had the pulled chicken, ribs, brisket and pulled pork. Our sides consisted of green beans, Mac n cheese, coleslaw and baked beans. It was ABSOLUTELY amazing. Everyone loved everything. We had enough for everyone to take some home and us for the rest of the week. I opted for the delivery and set up and the girls were friendly and asked how I wanted it all set up. Everyone was very professional. Highly recommended them.

I’m glad Michelle Abraham recommended this place on good day state line cause the food was delicious!! I almost grabbed a bowl of the mac & cheese with pulled pork in it for the road cause it was so good.

Why do I do it. Why do I continuously bludgeon myself ordering barbecue with only halfway expectations?

I got this off of grub dash. I really wanted barbecue, but I didn’t expect to get mostly unpalatable meat substances.

Before you guys read this and judge me, I do a lot of smoking. I have Backwoods Lil Chubby G2 competition reverse flow water smoker, smoked tons of meat and have been in competitions, so I know my stuff.

This isn’t my stuff.

I ordered the three meat combo, with brisket pulled pork and chicken. I’m not too sure where the brisket is? Was it that stringy beef meat thing? I couldn’t tell the difference between that or what the pork was supposed to be. The chicken is obvious, and while we’re on the topic, the chicken is the only thing that had a distinguished flavor of smoke.

As far as the other 2 meats, other than a hint of smoke, bland and flavorless.

Meat portion size is insulting. I basically paid 30 bucks for five sides and cornbread.

Cornbread is really good. I can’t wholeheartedly say that the mac and cheese is made in house, nor the pasta salad for that matter, but I could be wrong.

I was reserving one star, in case the brisket wasn’t as tender as it should be, seeing how I had this delivered 11 miles away, but then again, I don’t even know where the brisket was.

If you’re shredding your brisket, you need to close your doors, because it’s obvious that you don’t know how to snoke brisket. Brisket is meant to be sliced, not masked by chopping or shredding, then thrown in a steamer tray.

I ate about half of it, and tossed the rest out. Obviously the people on here raving about how good this place is, hasn’t had barbecue outside of famous Dave’s or some other low end franchise.

Very disappointed, and waste of money.

Sorry Ritchies…. Live and learn I guess.

I Still think you guys should try it. It’s better than many. I was a fan for like two years straight but I’m definitely not a fan right now. Brisket was very light and flavorless almost tasted boiled with smoke flavor and the cheese didn’t melt I’ll be back to try again but they may have lost a customer

One of Best BBQ on this side of the town. Been here about 4 times since I came from Texas and all 4 times service was quick and friendly. Food was fingerlickin good, pizza is one of my go to but when I tried the Grilled cheese that change all around. Nice Texas toast plus you can add your choice of meat. The brisket is delicious along with the pulled pork. All in all good place to come get some good BBQ, it definitely reminded me of down south cooking.

We ordered the ribs, they were very fatty, worse than rib tips, 70% gristle. Very poor quality meat. We bought 4, 1/2 slabs and spent $65. They shouldn’t even be in business.
