The food here is amazing, but the service leaves something to be desired.
Several times they’ve forgotten items from my order, and their prep times aren’t necessarily quick, occasionally leading to much longer than expected wait times, provided you catch the error before leaving the restaurant.
If you find items missing from a pickup order after getting home, and decide to call the restaurant, expect to wait on hold for 15 minutes before being hung up on.
Again though, great food, will continue to eat here.

The food here is incredible, and that is why it is extremely disappointing that every time you place a pickup order you were waiting for 15 to 20 minutes past the time they say to arrive. It seems that they don’t actually start your food until you arrive. I have tried everything from saying a time later than when I will arrive, earlier than when I will arrive, or showing up right on time. No matter what, I always am sitting in my car for 15 to 20 minutes which is quite annoying.
However, we continue to go back because the food is absolutely worth it. Just keep that in mind when ordering, give yourself an extra 20 minutes of wait time.

The food was very good. I had mango chicken curry with rice and garlic naan. Would definitely recommend coming here for food. The people working there were also very kind and came asking if everything was to my liking.

In the past I haven’t been a fan of Indian cuisine until I ate here. This place changed my mind on Indian cuisine and made me a fan now.
We ordered appetizers, curries, nana bread, rice dishes and lassie drinks. They give big portions enough for two people. The value for your money is good and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this place.

4 stars because I feel like I haven’t really explored the menu that much to say it’s a 5 !
Tried their chicken pakora ( for some reason mint chutney was watery, got put off ) but the pakora itself was good !
Chicken tikka was great as well as the Biryani !
Hoping to change this to a 5 in my future visits here !

Me and my husband are regulars at this place, like we order food once every week.
On jan6th, we walked in, and there was only 1 table of people sitting there. The girl with bangs, in her early twenties didn’t bother say hi to us, o and she was answering the phone the whole time, even helped a customer came in to pick up her food lol. And the whole time she just decided to left us sitting there without saying a word. Seriously how rude?!
We will not come back until this issue being addressed to us properly.

Nanaimo has a hidden gem for desi foodies. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. We visited twice during our trip and really enjoyed the food.

Food was good, but service was very frustrating. Called the store to ask if I could make an order over the phone and pay with a gift certificate that I received, which they confirmed was okay. So I order my food and go to pick it up, wait for them to sort out the gift certificate to then be told that they can’t activate it so they ask me to pay for the food on my credit card and that they’d call me the next day to get a refund or to use my certificate on another order. Next day comes, I wait until 6pm and get no call, so I decide to call them and they tell me to come back to the store for my refund. So I have to drive all the way back from my house on the south end to their restaurant on the far north end. Then have to wait while they again try to sort out the certificate and tell me that maybe it didn’t work because it could have expired considering it was purchased last year. But nowhere on the certificate is there an expiry date. After 5 minutes of standing there, I’m then handed cash instead of receiving a refund to my credit card. Incredibly frustrating experience. Offered nothing in compensation for the inconvenience. Not happy.

Well, I m going to be honest this is my 3rd time in this mother taste restaurant and I love it because their food is marvellous amazing taste and if I talk about employees that both are pretty good they have a welcoming nature and smile that makes everyone feel warmth and one employee go the customer table and make sure everything is good. I noticed every single because I used working in food court I think if I like this place I m definitely sure everything love it thanks

Enjoyed a great meal here. We had mango Chicken Curry and Masala Lamb, with served with rice plus a side of nann.
All of it was delicious, generous portions especially for the price, and the service was good. The food took a little while to come, but nothing too crazy but worth the wait.
