Polished operation with outdoor tables offering stone-baked pizza & classic pasta dishes.

I had the Pollo Bianco pizza. Very nice flavor, but a bit dry and difficult to eat. The cornmeal also coats your hands if you choose to eat it that way. My partner had the beef and mushroom pasta. It was also a very good flavor, but there was too much oil in the sauce.
The gluten-free pizzas were a little disappointing and the pasta-dishes were nothing to write home about.
This is a nice Italian restaurant, that has lots of pasta and pizza options, but only THREE secondi piatti options !
Some in our party wanted to avoid carbs, so opted for one of the secondi piatti options. Each of which contained potato, so they asked to have the potato removed. The server checked with the kitchen ? and returned to say “yes, the potato can be removed, but you will not receive extra vegetable or a replacement” :O
This is REALLY poor service. An extra spoonful of the spinach or other vegetable instead of the potato costs the restaurant close to NOTHING !
The food was VERY NICE. Everyone at our table enjoyed their dish.
As is the norm in Norway, the prices are HIGH ! but you’re in Norway and this ‘quality’ of restaurant demands 30-40 GBP for a secondi piatti dish, that was far from filling.
Service was VERY slow, but they were busy.
For all the above reasons, we wouldn’t return.
Had to come back to Olivia when we returned to Bodø. This time we came for dinner. I was definitely craving some good Italian food.
We were quite hungry after a full day of hiking. Our waiter recommended a few of his favorite appetizers. We had Focaccia sarda (focaccia stuffed with cheese. Nom) Fried artichoke and a nice big Antipasto plate.
I had the linguine di mare and it was delicious. We also had a few pizzas.
Overall- great service and ambiance. The lighting was spot on as was the music. Our waiters were very friendly.
We left full and happy. Glad we found this place. We were quite happy to learn that Olivia has several restaurants in Norway. We will be on the lookout for Olivia in Oslo.
