Here’s why I am in between a four and a five star. I want to note that I didn’t look at the reviews before I went in. Now that I am writing the review I see all the other reviews and it’s funny to see what people have said, people have a wide range of opinions. The Plaza area is desolate and you wouldn’t see this place riding down the main street so I was glad that my wife stumbled upon more options that we didn’t know we’re in the area. The people are very nice and the small shop is clean. Their prices are extremely affordable, and when I received my food, the portion size was really great. I had enough leftovers to eat the second day without purchasing anything the next day. That’s a win. The food came out fast, which was great. The brisket was a highlight to me as it was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. After eating it a bit I did notice that in some areas it was salty. Another reviewer pointed that out about the brisket, which may mean this is how they season it often. It’s odd because in most areas it isn’t but Certain spots got salty. I didn’t want to take a star off for it because you can easily pull back seasoning. The Brisket was truly of the best brisket I have tasted in South Atl. I would order it again just to confirm it’s goodness. The fries were good and plentiful and the price was right. Fries could have been crispier, but I’ll request that on my next visit. Since prices were so good I ordered a veggie plate also so I could try their side dishes. Collard greens were real collard greens , and so were the Black Eyed Peas. The Black Eyed Peas broth taste more like gravy than the broth I was expecting. the peas were great, but I didn’t know how to feel about the gravy like broth. The potato salad looked wetter than I prefer and when I spooned it, I saw egg yolk, and I don’t prefer egg yolk in my potato salad. However, the potato salad was delicious. No complaints. the yams have flavor in the sauce, but it didn’t push through the yams. I could taste the vanilla extract pronounced in the thin liquid as I feel that a thinner cut would allow flavor to get into the yams and the sauce could have been a bit thicker. Yams are usually packed with sugar so I could appreciate these sweet potato chunks with flavoring probably healthier for me. All things consider with price, quantity, speed, service, menu selection, and flavor. You can now see why I was in between a four and a five star. Because I want them to continue to excel I preferred to give them a five star. if they were in a better location, they would sell more easily For sure. I know every store can’t start on the main road, I get it. I just don’t love this Plaza as I never would have known they were there.

Let me start off by saying their customer service was great, it was my first time ordering from them and the man who took my order answered all my questions without sounding annoyed with me, I appreciate that! My food was ready when I got there and the woman who gave me my order was very nice too! When I got home and checked my food I was pleasantly surprised at the portions especially given such reasonable prices (y’all know everything is super expensive nowadays). Now I will say personally for my liking the food was missing a special “umph” when it came to seasoning (I don’t know how to explain it, but that’s just ME— don’t write them off please!) I would definitely come back and try some other options out. I definitely recommend giving them a try and have already told a few people about them. The meal was def a good bang for the buck!

Awful!!!!! The customer service was awful and the food was awful. First when I walked into the building the worker was sitting outside listening to the football game I clearly understand why the establishment I ordered my food went to Dollar general came back picked up my food had already paid for it and what I got I wouldn’t have gave my dog my ribs was dry and burned my cornbread was burned the Black eyed peas was driving dry the macaroni and cheese I’m still not unsure what that really was and the Brunswick stew it was sweet I will never ever ever go there again I spent $26.99 and they had the nerve to leave off my two pieces of cake that was not in the bag when I grabbed it which I blame myself for not looking in the bag but never again will I come back to that establishment. And I will be bringing their food back oh by the way I came on a Monday to bring the food back up there and they have to nerve to be closed but I’ll be back on Wednesday and bring them that food back and get my cake that I paid for.

First time customer. Good portion size. Great flavor. Great customer service. $22 include tax. Got ribs, mac, greens. Ribs and greens- great. Mac and corn roll- it’s ok but will get another side next time. Will try def visit again!

I try to patronize Blk business owners first my beef brisket meal with no drink was $26 then I had hair on my styrofoam plate she tried to wipe it off and on top my that I had to return because the cornbread was hard as a rock she replaced it with another hard as a rock piece of cornbread. The collard greens was mushy and overcooked and my brisket was all fat. Gave it to my dogs

Phenomenal experience and extremely delicious food! I am a real down south country girl so I’m always looking for my grandmother’s, Aunt’s and uncle’s type of food. Yesterday I found my forever southern family food home. That BBq didn’t miss a beat!! We ate it down to the bone baby & that Mac n cheese was to die for, oh baby but then collards…… old school and finger licking good!! I ordered chitterlings and rice to go & let me tellllllll you…. GET OVER THERE AND SEE FOR YOURSELF BABY!! Mr DJ, Ms. Erica & Ms. Patchy is not playing. The love and Joyful spirit they pour upon you walking through the door is unmatched. You feel it in your soul and taste every bit of it through your dish. Stop on by for your southern love dishes. Don’t forget dessert either. The peach cobbler makes you wanna slap yourself. My goodness

I love this place! The food is delicious, great prices, and good portions. Service is always quicker than most places and everybody is really friendly. My go-to meals are the leg quarter dinner or the rib tips with a small side of peach cobbler. BUSSIN lol

I really hate to do a subpar review especially for a place that I know can provide exceptional food but maybe it was my bad luck that day because I read reviews before I went here for the third time. I went here two days ago and knew I would receive the amazing food that I did the first two times. This time the ribs weren’t seasoned well or cooked long enough. The greens seemed over cooked and I don’t know what the deal was with the mac & cheese but it was all bad. I won’t stop going here cause I ain’t no quitter, but whomever else you have cooking on these off days should probably stop, and find something else to do.

All of the food I got tasted bad. The smoked wings were tough and salty. The Mac and cheese tasted like it was going bad and the cheese in it would not melt. I cooked it 5 minutes in the microwave and it still didn’t melt. The greens tasted like they were canned greens. They had an old and moldy flavor to them. . The only thing I did enjoy was the corn muffin. The rest was a waste of my money and very disappointing. The customer service was good though.
