My family loves Chipotle; it’s our favorite fast-food restaurant because of the great price, quality, flavor, and healthiness. This visit was no exception. The workers were the fastest we have ever seen, and they were incredibly helpful, happy, and polite. They moved with such speed that I’m convinced they’re faster than a politician changing their mind. While parking can be a bit tricky, the unique interior is a fun change of pace. The only real downside is that my wallet can’t keep up with our cravings. Overall, we absolutely love this place.

This Chipotle is absolutely awful. The staff are extremely unfriendly – they don’t listen to a word you say and then blame you for them screwing up? They are very rude 90% of the time my friend or myself have been there. The food is ALWAYS under portioned, and they won’t fix it even if you ask them. And that IF they have it ready/in stock.
My order today: 12/17/25 ran me $20 and was “double steak, double rice, large bag of chips, side of guac” and this is what I received.
PLEASE. save yourself money and just get it from Ankeny.

This is the laziest, most disgusting bowl i’ve ever seen. I am outraged at the terrible service provided in making this bowl. I will never be showing up to such an embarrassing establishment again. The worker who did this needs to be fired. They put a slice of cheese in my bowl… like what? Who are you hiring?

Even after complaining to the restaurant nothing was done to compensate this. Chipotles official instagram account had to message me and give me a free meal after I posted this just for me to get any justice over this monstrosity.

Disappointing the last few times we’ve ordered food from here. Consistently cold and sparse ingredients (photos of one of the high protein chicken tacos).

food is delicious and restaurant was clean, as well as staff nice but my gosh. my bowl was so small and for $13!!!????? i get a steak bowl with queso, and to start, the employee did ONE scoop of rice and then just flattened out across the bottom of the bowl. then did 2 half scoops of beans, a very VERY tiny scoop of steak, i literally only had probally 8 pieces of steak. (that’s being generous). and then queso for an extra $1.50 i got about 15 cents worth of queso. the employee didn’t even do one full scoop. very good food but portioning is horrible. if you’re gonna cut portions, maybe the price of my bowl should also reflect it.

Staff at this location are very nice and dish out great food every day. My only criticism is that corporate greed has raised prices to an unreasonable degree. $2.75 for an itty bitty cup of guac is daylight robbery, not gonna lie. $5.35 for an extra scoop of steak is also rather questionable. All that aside, good food and good service here.

We went in at 1040. they close at 11. we were very polite walking in, just the two of us. as we were ordering, trying to get the bogo offer for thanksgiving eve, the lady serving us was very rude and disrespectful. she not only tossed around all the materials and food while creating the bowl, but she disregarded the food items that we selected and told her. she put in the direct opposite of everything we asked for, just trying to make us mad or leave. eventually, when she purposefully added several things that we didn’t ask for or want, and added the exact opposite, we walked out. as we walked out, she said “works for me!”. terrible service and a disrespect to other establishments in ames. chipotle has great food and usually good service. this woman ruined the experience of chipotle for me, and not only disrespected me and my friend, but the entire restaurant chain as a whole. workers like this have no place at a great restaurant like chipotle. GET HER FIRED!

I have never seen a place that was so filthy to dine in. The tables were not clean, everyone had to clean the table before they could sit down to eat. I could see 8 people working at the time we stopped for lunch. They looked busy, but I couldn’t see any reason one of them could have stopped and cleaned off the tables for 5min. The food was average for a Chipotle, always plenty to eat.

The quality of food has greatly improved compared to a few months ago.
However, a nice addition to see would be more preparation for influxes of people. A couple of times I have seen there be no more chicken available and a new batch is just getting started on the grill.
If this happens, people that are defaulted for an item like steak should not be charged for the price of steak as there is a large difference in price between chicken and steak.
