I don’t know how this place has so many good reviews. I tried them for the first time last night and will not return. I stopped in for carryout pizza by the slice for my boyfriend and me. First of all, the layout of the restaurant is dysfunctional. The kitchen/working area is so small, I don’t know how the three employees were able to move around. And that’s another thing. The floor behind the counter has plastic pallets on it and the employees were walking around on the pallets. It was one of the strangest things I’ve ever seen in a pizza place. The cash register is on a small counter where other customers were just standing around waiting for their orders, so it was impossible to try to place my order and pay. After forcing my way to the register, I ordered two cheese and two pepperoni slices. The cashier could barely figure out how to price them. Cheese and pepperoni are the most basic thing you can order! There were two other customers waiting for their orders and the staff was clearly confused who was supposed to get what order. The employees were running around manically and acting like they could barely comprehend what was going on in the store with three customers! I also noticed there was no hand washing going on as food was being handled. No employee had a clear designated spot to work. They were all just doing whatever. Who manages like that? When I finally received my order they only gave me three slices. I repeated my order of two cheese and two pepperoni. A few minutes later I received my order in a small box and thought to myself “how in the world are there four slices of New York style pizza in here? Did the employee stack them on top of each other?” I was so annoyed I walked out to my car, opened the box, and guess what? Three slices of pizza stacked on top of each other. Unbelievable is all I could think. And who stacks pizza on top of each other? I walked back in and told them my order was still wrong. A different employee took a slice of cheese pizza, threw some pepperoni on top, and put it in the oven. This is weird, right? Then she pulled it out of the oven and told me to have a great night in an extremely phony voice. She didn’t even apologize for the poor service. When I was a teenager, I worked at Cottage Inn, a restaurant with a very large menu and variety of items. I could run the register, take orders, and make all the food by myself on a busy night. It might be hard, but I could certainly handle it on my own. This place can’t even get pizza by the slice right with two attempts and three employees working. I was extremely embarrassed for them and would hate to see what it’s like when they’re actually busy. The pizza was mediocre. Try at your own risk!

Based on online reviews and its close proximity to my hotel, I ordered delivery during my stay in Ann Arbor. I ordered a half Greek salad and an Italian sausage pizza. The salad was pure perfection! I highly recommend it. The pizza was also very good (I enjoyed leftovers the next day, too). I took off one star because the delivery didn’t include napkins or utensils. I mean, I’m staying in a hotel–do you really expect me to have these things readily on hand? I had to go down to the front desk and request a plastic fork so I could eat my salad. You guys have great food, so please don’t forget the little things that travelers in hotels need. 🙂

I was pleasantly surprised how good the food is here! It is a modest store front but don’t let it fool you! The pizza is great, you can taste the freshness. Sooo much better than the big chain companies. The pasta was amazing! 12$ and you get a giant serving, enough for four bowls of pasta with garlic knots and a side salad. Highly recommend the napoletana linguine. Service was great too. They went out of their way to provide extra napkins and side of ranch.

Straight up family Italian food. I only had one thing, the eggplant parmesan sandwich, but it was quite good. The pizza looked better than average but I can’t vouch for it as I didn’t have any. They seem pizza by the slice of your want that. The service was very friendly and polite.

I ordered take-out. . . one pasta entree $12.50 and a separate full garden salad $7.25. The pasta entree was supposed to come with it’s own salad and a serving of garlic bread. When I got home and opened the bag, there was no “dinner salad” and no garlic bread. I ordered at 6:25 pm and I waited until 7:08 pm for the food. I noticed the meal sitting on the counter quite a long time before it was bagged. Sure enough, when I got home, the Pasta Bolognese was barely warm and had to be reheated! The staff was very polite and the man did say he was sorry that it took so long when he handed me the bag.

My husband liked their pizza a lot and ordered from them dozens of times we recently moved and are now 4 miles away if you view the longest google map route. We have had them deliver before as the route max time also shows as 9 minutes after placing our order and waiting over 30 minutes we received a call back saying we are too far and they will not deliver to us, this woman is the same rude woman we have spoken to before. We were told it would be arriving in 45 minutes when we placed our order and gave our address and he took our payment information as usual. The correct thing to do would have been to call and apologize call back explain they would still deliver our order but in the future they will no longer deliver. She also stated we are over 6 miles away which is not true no matter what route you take. She said it’s just too far and did not offer any apology. This is very expensive for what you get- we are dissapointes with our experience and would not recommend this and will be going to many of the other 50 pizza options instead from now on.

Your online pizza ordering system failed us tonight. We ordered, received a confirmation email, drove to pick up the pizza…yet you had no pizza for us. You didn’t receive our online order apparently. Bummed my bf had to wait at your store while our order was started. I suggest you take the “order online” button off your website until you get this glitch fixed. We ordered online from Domino’s recently and it worked perfectly. Hopefully the pizza is good when he gets home!

The good taste good but….
Didn’t see any handwashing going on when I went in there Sunday afternoon. The only person I saw working bare handed my pizza and garlic roll into the oven. He then took my cash for my food and then used a wooden utensil to scoop out my pizza balanced by his bare fingers into a box. No gloves or handwashing took place.
I won’t be back.

Fantastic pizza but just ridiculously overpriced . No military discount , No frequent flyer discount – 2 pizzas (small and medium ) and 2 small drinks should not be over $40 . C’mon …give us a discount at least when you have loyal customers or lower those prices . Thanks .

Well I called Bella Italia Pizza&Pasta on behalf of the student affairs office at UofM and I was told that I was speaking to the owner of the company. A young lady. So I was speaking with her about a project that we have going on and we wanted to feature and recommend the restaurant to all of our students, faculty and for our incoming guest at spring commencement. Well needless to say I am horrified to think that she was the owner, she was extremely rude to me, and then she slammed the phone and hung up on me, I can not believe this day and age that a business owner would treat someone like this. I hope people will take the time to read this. Then I called back and a gentlemen answered the phone and hung up on me as well…..
