A foodie’s go-to for street food and takeaway . This food stand has a real potential to be a phenomenally excellent.
No this is NOT A RESTAURANT BUT A FOOD STAND on Pittsburgh’s Strip District. It serves four items: 1) Egg Rolls, 2) Chicken Skewers, 3) Rice noodles, 4) Fried Rice.
It has excellent egg rolls, especially the vegetable and chicken rolls . The rolls are very thickly packed… Flavorful but they taste even better with Hot Chili Oil.
The Chicken Skewers are very flavorful. They are NOT KABABS but simple bamboo stick skewers of thin chicken breast strips. They are very well seasoned … the sauced version actually destroys the natural flavor .
There are 2 noodles, both are rice noodles. The one they call “Rice” Noodles are flavorful, with some meat and vegetables mixed in it… This noodle can even be better with more chicken and vegetables.
The one they call Pad Thai is NOT true pad Thai. It’s plain flat rice noodles stirred in some soy sauce. .
DISCOVERY: the otherwise unremarkable flat noodles they call Pad Thai can be rescued by Chicken Skewers in BBQ Sauce with STIRRED IN CHILI OIL and paired with a claret.
There’s Fried Rice as well but I can’t recommend. They look very plain.
Service is very good.
Prices are very inexpensive.

Not many places get this many 5 star reviews without the place deserving it. And let me just say this place deserves it, I have been stopping here for maybe 20 years and am never disappointed. The hard working family run food truck/ stall had a small menu but everything is on point. They have a nice seating area and the food is very good and great value for money. My favorite is the shrimp eggroll, chicken on a stick and the pad thai or stir fried noodles.
When you are in the Steip District, stop by and try this place, good dood, value and great family running this joint

Hand down some of the best overall food that you can find in all of Pittsburgh!! The family that cooks and serves the food too (Pad Thai, Fried Rice, and MeiFun) are just so genuinely amazing across the board. Also, best egg rolls ever!!

When I was a young child and I saw that they had put tires on the truck, I broke down in tears because I thought my favourite restaurant was leaving. Almost 30 years later, they’re still there and still making the best chicken kebabs and the best egg rolls! I can’t find egg rolls this good anywhere I go!

Was walking by and was intrigued by this food stall.
I got the shrimp egg roll for $3. Was sad that the shrimp egg roll was disappointing. The filling was mostly veg and very little flavor, though the fried wrapping was good.
The main entrees like Pad Thai looked very good though and it seemed like most people were getting that. I just wouldn’t recommend the shrimp egg roll.

This was an unexpected surprise!
On this strip of restaurants your wouldn’t expect to walk upon a food truck with two very polite older women running the show.
It was clean and the service was fast & friendly. Locals were lined up as well as tourists like us.
Covered seating wasn’t fancy but it saved is from the sun! ☀
