Pita bread they use is soft and chewy, which I liked. Not sure why sauce is being raved about as it’s just your typical mayo and sriracha. Shawarma was room temperature because they pre-slice the meat and leave it on the counter. Service leaves a lot to be desired. They automatically imposed a 15% tip on my takeout order. Ultimately would come back as there aren’t many other options around Emory but definitely not a weekly thing.

The chicken shawarma was pretty great. Well cooked and flavorful. Could use a bit more salt.
The ramen is fast food ramen, but not back for $8.
This place is very busy and I can see why.
Greetings from Asheville, North Carolina.

Falafel King is an Emory Village staple. It is one of the longest residing restaurants in this location, which speaks to its solid food. I have been coming here for more than a decade. The prices are reasonable. The falafel is always on point. I honestly do not think I’ve had better falafel elsewhere in Atlanta. The schwarma is flavorful and juicy. Their pink sauce is creamy, spicy, and really brings the dishes together.

First time here at Falafel King despite being a student for a while now. There’s a couple tables outside and a few bar and table seats inside – overall small though. The prices are really affordable and food is made very quick. It’s a small mom and pop local restaurant but definitely very popular with students.
I got a shawarma platter and stuffed grape leaves and edamame for my 2 sides. The shawarma tasted really good and came with an orange sauce(?) not sure what it was though. There was a bed of lettuce, cucumber, and a few other veggies. The stuffed grape leaves was cold and had a grainy hard texture inside. I wasn’t a huge fan, maybe because the only other stuffed grape leaves were made from my friends parents with their family recipe. The edamame tasted kinda old, very flimsy outer layer.
I got a pistachio baklava (1 for $1, 3 for $3). It was quite flaky and a tad sweet, bit hard to chew. I think it had a mild pistachio flavor though.

2nd time i requested Shawarma and told the female owner what i want in it and both times even after she confirmed there was no lettuce, got back to my dorm and theres the lettuce. The male owner is kind and thoughtful however his wife clearly doesnt like serving customers anymore, if you dont tip for take-out she will screw your order up. She never smiles absolutely miserable person

Falafel King is my go-to lunch spot in Emory Village! This small business has my highest recommendation. Very reasonable prices, quick service, and consistent quality. The spicy mayo sauce is unique, absolutely delicious, and I think it pairs well with the falafel and/or shawarma sandwiches.

The falafel paired with the Japanese seaweed salad was a culinary revelation, an opened minded union of the Cental East and the Pacific Rim in my takeout bag. The gentle texture of the falafel complemented the refreshing taste of the seaweed salad, creating a new experience of flavors for my palate.
What truly sets this dining experience apart is its commitment to affordability without compromising on quality. The prices remain accessible to all if not most, ensuring that everyone can partake in the culinary delights.
In every aspect, from the swift and attentive service to the accommodating dishes, this restaurant embodies the essence of culinary convenience and affordability, making it an affordable vegan friendly dining experience.

Small simple restaurant that provides exactly what it says, and with that sauce it’s a great combination. I recommend the mixed cause you get a lil meaty bite and a nice savory crunch with the falafel. I’d come here again since it’s affordable and satisfying. I would not recommend the baklava though unless you’re into denser desserts. As you can see by the picture, I enjoyed myself to the fullest

Very good ‘Japanese’ style ramen and fried Dumplings. Maybe more a Korean-style of these, though it’s tasty, so not important. Yes, they have Mediterranean food, too. Easy access from Emory University and quick drive from the hospital.

I have heard of Falafel King for YEARS!
Best Falafel in Atlanta, and so forth.
I am sorry, I need someone to explain the criteria they used to come to this conclusion.
The bread is great. The vegetables are fresh, but lacking in flavor.
The falafel is moist and well cooked, but lacking in flavor, and the texture is curious.
The only sauce served was yum-yum sauce.
On a Falafel sandwich?
I’m going to say it doesn’t work.
But that yum-yum sauce is good. Actually very good.
The stuffed grape leaves are, of course canned.
But a very good canned dolma.
Service was very fast and courteous. Prices?reasonable.
All in all, I am seriously let down.
