Overall our experience here was amazing and one we will not forget soon. Our waiter Ben was fantastic and we loved his wit and humor. The manager introduced her self because she was from NC like us and promptly treated us to free dessert for all.
I do want to say that the prices were a tat steep for the food you get, yes it was good but maybe not worth the high price. Recommend all the desserts!

Overall, not horrible but not great. Restaurant is quaint but cute. Definitely dated but it works. Was asked to make a reservation and did so but by no means was it busy. Promptly seated and was waited on immediately. Menu is limited, offering 5-6 varieties of appetizers and entrees. Plenty to order from drinks-wise. Can order individually or as a prefix, meaning you get an appetizer, entree and a dessert of your choice for $65. Prefix made the most sense for us. Wife did both of the night’s specials (meatballs and veal) while I ordered the brussel sprouts and salmon. Meatballs were okay, while the veal was slightly undercooked. Wife couldn’t finish it. Salmon was delicious as was the brussel sprouts. Service was okay as our waitress was new and still figuring everything out. Awkward yes, but polite and personable. All in all, a bit expensive but you’re paying for convince and not having to drive into town. It is what it is.

Locally sourced seasonal fair. Pretty close to farm-to-table. Thoughtful dishes. Amazing gnocchi. Local veal chop from hight quality source.

Had an incredible stay at the Wentworth. We stayed in the Sunnyside suite which is probably better for families with younger kids, since our two teens were rather squished on the trundle bed. But they’re teens, so it was fine! It was nice having the fireplace and having a bedroom separate from the kids. The included dinner and breakfast was some of the best food we’d ever eaten, and Jean and Mitch were the best servers! We loved being close to Jackson falls. Loved the caramels and chips at the pantry and the pool, too. There was a wedding going on but it didn’t disturb us at all. We would definitely stay there again!

Enjoyed a lovely Valentine’s prix fixe menu. Delicious food and a real value for such high quality food. The crispy oysters were delightful and the prime rib did not disappoint.

Breakfast tasted great. Issues were resolved. Very young boys on staff. Menu says a la carte omelets are served with potatoes, and I also ordered an English muffin. No potatoes were brought, but then the 14-16 year old waiter didn’t return either. He did walk around the dining room, but wouldn’t look in our direction. I asked another 14-16 year old waiter if he could get the supervisor, but he was baffled by my request. Both boys were extremely awkward, and young boys usually are. So I got her myself. She explained that the staff are supposed to tell patrons to get their own potatoes from the buffet, although it says served with potatoes. They aren’t actually served with omelets. I said, ok, that communication would have helped. You don’t get your own English Muffin from the buffet though, that you wait for at the table, but the waiter forgot to tell the kitchen about it. He apologized. Then brought it. Then the supervisor also brought one, so I had two. They offered to re-do my omelet because it had been sitting for a while. I said it was fine, and it was still very good. They also say they are unable to add anything other than cheese to the omelet, so no onions, tomatoes, etc. I didn’t love that in the moment, but it still tasted very good just being egg and cheese. The supervisor offered a discount on the bill for the inconveniences, which was very nice, and I think made all the difference. It’s a good place.

I’m giving two stars for several reasons – only one server for 7-8 tables led to a very slow service. There was a button or something else plastic in my drink. No apology from a manager. Server was nice but overwhelmed. Host very nice. No checks for more water or butter. Smallest wine pour we have ever seen. Just not great experience at all. The food and dessert and coffee were okay. Took almost 3 hours.

The breakfast buffet ($22/pp) was plentiful and delicious (all you can eat). Our waitress was super attentive and accommodating. Great location for a big breakfast before heading out for the day to stay full until dinner.

On a positive note, the Eggplant dish was excellent and 3 different cocktails were very good. The Creme Brulee was satisfactory. The service was great and the waiting time was very good with meals promptly served. Unfortunately, their Salmon dish, which the server assured me was fresh, was horrible. I go out at least 3 times a week and I just returned a few weeks ago from Iceland and Norway, where I ate fresh (not fishy) salmon & artic char (salmon family). Additionally, I’ve eaten salmon for 50 years. I have only once before never finished my dinner. This salmon smelled unpleasant the minute it was placed in front of me. I gave my partner a bite first & he was quiet. He simply said let me know what you think. The “fishiness” was overpowering. I struggled to eat a third and was forcing myself until I started to gag. Additionally, the skin was flaccid, instead of crispy. Moreover, the entire construction of the plate was bad, starting with rice that was undercooked (like microwave Uncle Ben’s). The radish was weirdly seasoned, the seaweed (which I normally love) was pleasantly looking but a variety not particularly tasteful and the cucumber awkwardly cut and unseasoned. When a couple sat down next to me I told them to avoid the dish. The wife commented that she normally loved Salmon Poke, but ate it last night and found it unpleasant. The wonderful waitress, Esme, gave me a free dessert. However, I feel that the mostly uneaten dish should have been removed. Look at my hundreds of reviews, I’ve given 1 or 2 stars just a few times. I’m only giving 2 stars because the Eggplant was delicious.

The food was ok. Very basic with no creativity. The server was not overly helpful and had limited knowledge of the wine selection. Given the name of the restaurant, I expected a better atmosphere, but it was pretty basic.
