First-time at the is national chain. I must say that I was quite open to see what the total experience would be.
I would offer my opinion based on the protocols and social distancing measures taken during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Service: It seems there was only one person on the register, waiting on customers as well as cleaning the tables before and after service. My table was unclean and hadn’t been serviced since the prior customer. I had to ask the waitress (one of the many hats she wore). She seemed slightly frustrated and visibly upset of her many duties.
Ambiance: There was NO soap in the ba bathrooms or any bottles of hand sanitizers placed on any tables or anywhere else. None of the employees were wearing masks. The tables were separated to keep patrons apart.
Food: Mediocre at best. It tasted sub-par and the food meats were dry and bland.
Mac and Cheese was somewhat edible and acceptable. Ribs, brisket and pulled pork were not distinctive and flavorful to any degree to my palate.
The Polish kielbasa was better than any of its other protein brethren assembled on my plate.

I probably won’t return to this restaurant and definitely won’t recommend it to others.
I ordered the brisket plate and dined in the restaurant. The meat was tender and had good seasonings. But the green beans were very salty. And, as I ate my meal, the paper was coming apart from the food liner on the tray. Hopefully, I didn’t ingest any of it.
The worst thing was when I opened the cabbage slaw container, & there was a white plastic & metal twist tie right on top! What the heck?!
I showed it to the counter person & she offered to get me another one; definitely not! I asked for the loaded baked potato casserole, which was good.
I’m not going to spend my money at an establishment that has workers who are careless in food preparation.

Since my return to Reno from Texas this has been the best BBQ so far……. I’ve only scratched the surface though and Famous Dave’s is next. Dickeys ribs were smoked just a little longer than Brothers BBQ on this day. Both places serve quality pork ribs but I liked the sides better at Dickeys. The Mashed Potatoes in particular were A+ ….. I was a little disappointed however. Dickeys had a picture on the online menu that looked to be Danish baby back ribs so I ordered by pointing at my phone. I ended up with regular pork ribs….. I guess we ate all those pigs from Denmark back in the 90’s or maybe they died from hoof and mouth. Who knows… If you see any please let me know.
p.s. service was better at Brothers.

We ordered $479.86 worth of food for 35 people in our company. After waiting for 45 minutes at our business we drove to the business only to see it locked with no one there.
Called the catering rep Christine B only for her to say she isn’t at the store and doesn’t know where the food is. Not helpful, not apologetic.
Emailed corporate so we can try to get our money back while we scramble to feed our team.
Worst service and horrible staff.

Immediately upon coming home with my pickup order, not 5 minutes after the app said it was ready, I am dismembering the soggy barely warm sandwiches. If the app says it’s ready at a specific time, be warned it may be ready as soon as you order, I arrived on time to prevent this exact issue with my food.

I have eaten at all of the Reno Dickey’s many, many times in the past years the restaurants have been open. Sadly I feel the hayday for the chain has come and gone. I picked up a Chopped Brisket sandwich and onion tanglers for a side. When I got home and looked at the sandwich the meat looked sad. It had the texture of meat that has been sitting on a steam table for hours. There is no telltale pink/red ring indicating the meat has been smoked, and I can’t taste any smoke flavor in the meat. The brisket is supposed to be chopped and it is more like chunks. When you walk into the restaurant there’s also no telltale smoke smell present (as in the past). It is doubtful I will order from food from this or any other Dickey’s location again. Stick a fork in the food chain – it’s done.

Customer service was lacking very much here. On top of that my fiancé was eating his Saturday special brisket sandwich when he bit into plastic wrapping. Employee speaking Spanish about me (I’m white but also speak spanish) in front of me. But why does my food have plastic wrap inside it? I’d call and complain but why order more plastic wrap smdh this was my first and last time at this location.

Worst bbq I’ve ever had . No joke. They clearly call it it pit bbq but the ribs definitely were not smoked and taste baked with some cheap nasty sauce on it .on top of that all the meat was dry . That plate you see ,give or take a couple pieces of chicken is what I got for the 2 for 24 deal 2 crusty ribs and some dry baked chicken . Do yourself a favor and don’t eat here you’re Better off barbecuing yourself ,even if your a first timer . Whoever cooks the bbq here has no clue what they are doing .
