So, I have been hearing a lot about a place up in Smithville called Humphreys Bar and Grill. And since I happened to be up in that neck of the woods I decided to stop in and give them a try. Making my way to the bar I order up a nice glass of Martin city IPA and start to study the menu.
Now for whatever the reason lately I’ve been on a club sandwich kick, and I happened to notice that they happened to have a club sandwich on their menu. So, I order it at along with a side of onion rings and waited patiently for my food to come out.
In just a few moments they brought me out a basketful of delicious! The sandwich itself was huge but even more important it had great flavor and freshness. Onion rings were the real deal no frozen rings at this place. Freshly battered and fried and delicious.
Well done Humphreys Bar and Grill!

Came here to see Montage play. The servers were delightful and responsive. Drinks were strong and a good value.

Food was delicious. I got the chicken bacon ranch, sandwich was huge. Love the history of the building. Good atmosphere, glad to have it in our town. They seemed to be understaffed we had quite a wait. Server was nice, we understood she was very busy. Definitely recommend this place.

Only one thing with the brick walls once the live music starts to play – it’s hard to hear the people at the same table. Maybe play music Unplugged..

Nice place, cool atmosphere. The server was very nice and attentive. Margarita was excellent. Food good, fair prices. Was surprised to see so many options to choose from on menu. Can’t wait to go again.

Normally I have pictures of the food I order but unfortunately I forgot to take some. I ordered the bacon ranch chicken sandwich with waffle fries and cowboy dip. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the bacon was crispy. The only bad thing I can say is I couldn’t taste the ranch. Great sandwich, wake fries were good, and the cowboy dip was awesome. Definitely worth giving them a try!

We waited for an hour and 15 minutes to get our food. Most of the order was kids Mac and cheese, chicken strips, and nachos. When the food did arrive, it really wasn’t very good. I see no reason to ever come back. The picture is the spicy Philly cheesesteak that I ended up taking to go because it didn’t come out until everyone else was done eating. I don’t plan to eat a bad reheated cheesesteak. This terrible experience costed us over $100. Save your money. Go to McDonald’s instead.

We went on a busy Saturday night. It was pretty packed. When we put our name in for a table at 630.. we were never called by the time we left at 10:30. We found a pub table to crowd around and hung by the end of the bar. It was fine and we understood on a Sat night. That being said.. Id definitely go back. Food was great.. Beer was cold.. Staff was friendly. Cool atmosphere. The only thing I would say.. and I heard several others say.. was the live music was REALLY loud. Im not a old stick in the mud.. but you had to yell to talk to your party. If they turned it down a bit it would be way more enjoyable. Again.. we did like it overall and would for sure give it a try again.

The filet was perfect. Medium rare, almost tender that a knife was not required, though provided. The cheese potatoes rounded out the meal. Drinks were quick and strong enough you knew there was the requested liquor involved.
