Yes, you should eat here. It was delicious! A lot of choices, some dishes I’ve never heard of with other Indian restaurants as well.
Starter was great. Chicken was tender and juicy still. Main course was one of the best Indian dishes I’ve had so far. Super flavorful and the chicken against was juicy. Pashwri naan was incredible as well. Just do yourself a favor and go eat here.

We have always wanted to try the Sultan of Lancaster having read the great reviews, on arrival at 6.10 pm On a Saturday night we were greeted by an empty restaurant with no alcohol sold only expensive soft drinks,I asked if we bring our own and I was told firmly no,the 4 of us were left disappointed and thought about leaving to go elsewhere because of the lack of atmosphere ,but we all wanted to try the food and ordered ,the food tandoori chicken,mixed grill naga chicken and the lamb deewana it didn’t disappoint and we all enjoyed it especially the garlic naan (one of the best we’ve eaten)and lamb deewana eventually after 6.30pm 2/3 more tables of diners arrived but still no atmosphere because of the size of the restaurant a converted church,

We had a fabulous meal here – I particularly loved the face that I could order and sauce I wanted to accompany my Biryani – most places simply give you just a medium curry sauce but I had a korma sauce – it made a wonderful dish! The staff were a delight and prices were very reasonable. Highly recommended!!

I love grilled lamb chops they were really tasty and cooked just right. The butter chicken was also very good ,creamy and full of flavor.
Overall, the food was good and the staff were helpful. I would visit here again and recommend it.

Always perfectly delivered, packaged securely & fantastic authentic Indian food. Ash and his team are our go to place when we arrive back from different countries. Incredibly friendly, keen to supply the best experience outside the restaurant in your own home. We have never been disappointed and we will continue to use the Sultan, Brock Street, Lancaster. We went there for dinner on Valentine’s day, the service was great and so was the food! Ash, was really friendly and also surprised us with a cake! It will be an evening to remember, the food is all delicious and great portion size!

Disgusting food. How are they even delivering food like this? No taste at all…just a waste of money and time. They put everything in one bag. I couldn’t eat it; I just threw it in the bin. Maybe they eat like this themselves, that’s why they think it’s okay to deliver food this way.

This is hands down the best Indian food in Lancaster! Not only is the food incredible, but the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with a great atmosphere that really enhances the dining experience. The service was fantastic—the staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel very welcome. I will definitely be recommending this restaurant on my Chinese social media and I can’t wait to visit again. I highly recommend the prawn curry—the prawns were incredibly fresh and flavorful. An absolute must-try!

10/10 I LOVE THE SULTAN! ash and all his employees are the most amazing people, always so friendly and welcoming and will go the extra mile. The food is to die for, I love thr authenticity of the establishment the service and the food, always my first choice as I stuggle in really loud environments and eveb when its fully booked its peaceful and service runs smooth and always a perfect experience.
