At our Princeton, KY location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

This place has really gone down hill. They don’t know what’s on their own menu and can’t find anyone to keep an order correct or deliver it to your car. I shouldn’t have to wait 59 minutes for you to screw my order up either. I won’t be back and I hope you go out of business

We went here while on a road trip. The good here was DELICIOUS! The fish, fries, cracklin’s, hushpuppies, and chicken were all cooked perfectly!
When we arrived, the drive thru was PACKED and food was being walked out nonstop. Our order was quickly taken, made, and delivered. All five of us were fed and loved our decision to stop at this restaurant.
The restaurant’s business didn’t slow down the entire time we were eating!!
When locals frequent a fast restaurant that consistently, it speaks volumes about the consistent service and deliciousness they expect.

Okay, they get the higher marks because the food was good and the employees that were working that day were courteous and really trying hard, which is not always the case. The restaurant has removed the condiments from self-serve (a little inconvenient but OK), but it appears they are terribly understaffed, which is making it difficult to keep the place clean. It also looks like some maintenance items are being neglected as well. If it continues this way, it won’t be long until the negative takes over this business, in my opinion.

Stopped here on a road trip for some lunch. The staff was super nice, the service was fast and my food was hot and fresh. I’m not a huge fan of hush puppies but theirs were soft and delicious! who could ask for anything more?

Young lady took order was so sweet & tried being helpful but 2 differ times while we were inside eating the dayshift Manger brought customers plates out only to be extremely loud & very hateful . In my opinion SHE Didn’t behave like any manager trying to set good examples for her employees

My family and I are visiting from out of town. We went the drive through with only 2 cars ahead of us. We did get to place our order BUT, We waited a good 10 minutes and the first vehicle still hadn’t received their order. The car in front of us pulled out just as we were. There is no reason to have to wait that long at a fast food restaurant, especially paying those high prices!
