This is a few weeks overdue, but I cannot be happier with Southbury Baking Company. I’m so thankful I found them for my son’s first birthday party cake(s) and cupcakes! First I will start by saying Cathy is THE BEST. She was in contact via email (my preferred way) every single day so quickly even when she was traveling. I had a very specific idea and she made it come to life!
I wanted a big cake for guests and a “smash cake” to match — she exceeded my expectation of both. Not to mention I requested this super last minute…. less than 2 weeks turnaround! The pictures don’t do justice!
I made all of the toppers and put them on the top the day of…. but they wouldn’t have looked so good without the icing and overall cake being perfect. It tasted amazing and I wish I had more right now as I think about it. Everyone raved over the cake and cupcakes. Everything was phenomenal and the prices were beyond unbelievably fair. I was shocked when I was quoted. I will be back for more soon! A huge THANK YOU to Cathy and SBC for making my son’s 1st birthday party complete!

Hands down best bakery in Southbury! Very friendly and helpful with brainstorming what you would like your cake to look like and the talent in decorating is complemented by all the delicious flavors they have to offer! Everything we have ordered or walked in and picked-up, has always been consistently delicious that everyone always wants the name of this bakery. Canolli and Carrot Cakes are amazing-you won’t be disappointed!

This was by far the best cake from a bakery I’ve had. Everyone complemented on how great the quality was. Usually cakes can be overly sweet but this was perfect and the chocolate was very indulgent! Definitely found our new go to place for cakes/desserts. Cathy the owner was amazing and was quick to respond to all my emails. Highly recommend!
Had to come back and add a photo for another cake for my sons and husbands birthday. “Peter Rabbit” was the theme and Cathy captured what I was looking for perfectly! This carrot cake was absolutely delicious!

I have never been to a place so put together and exquisite as Southbury Baking Company. The desserts are expertly crafted and truly a culinary experience. Absolutely delicious! I recommend the OMG Brownies and the mini cheesecakes!

They are so kind and friendly here. I was warmly welcomed this morning when I went in to buy some snacks and goodies just because. I picked an item that I thought was the last item and the gentleman that was helping me was “oh I’ll have to bring out some more.” My response was if you have another one I’ll gladly take it and they made another one for me on the fly. I was super appreciative and my fiance definitely approved. Thank you again for the kindness and the delicious goodies I’m happy to enjoy. You’ve made it such a welcoming environment.

I recently got a baby shower cake from them and it was DELICIOUS!! I ordered a vanilla cake with strawberries and cream frosting- the cake was super moist and the frosting had so much flavor & the filling was amazing! I would definitely recommend them and will also be using them in the future!
