Had such an amazing dinner here the day before Valentine’s Day! I made a reservation a week prior and when we got there we were alerted there would be a little bit of a wait. No big deal because the hostess offered us two seats at the bar to grab a drink and hang out shortly after our table was ready. Our waitress Victoria was amazing! She was extremely accommodating and helpful between prices, amount of food given, and service it was a 10/10 I can’t wait for them to reopen in March! We will definitely be a back!

We really enjoyed our dinner there as the food was very good and very fresh. The place was very busy, but we were seated very fast. Hope to be back soon!

This place is one of my favorite restaurants instantly. No sodium hangover. All fresh, farm to table foods and you can feel it. No over salt, no over garlic. From the drinks, to the salad, to the main dish, perfection. One of the best meals I have had. John Gambino is present and greets you. Very comfy styled house restaurant. Very busy, make reservations and you still have to wait. Be prepared, grab a drink and their bar. We had the main dish North Fork Pacciente (thick Rigatoni). Stellar! Go see them and enjoy. We’ll be back. Tell em Barsnobs sent ya!

We had made a 6pm reservation a week in advance. My elderly parents were coming to dinner with us and wanted to not risk having a long wait.

We arrived at 5:50 pm and they said it will be a few minutes which was fine. Then at 610 pm they told us that the party at what would be our table was just finishing up.

There is no where to wait in this restaurant. Its a small.old farm house ans you literally stand in a hallway with the waitresses running past you with food and drinks. You have to turn sideways to that they can get through. There is absolutely no where to stand that you are not in the way and there is no where to sit except at the very small bar area which was packed.

That being said after being told at 6:10 pm that it was going to just be a couple of minutes, I finally approached the hostess at 6:45 pm, who was less than pleasant, and asked what time does the 6:00 pm reservation actually get seated. With an amount of attitude that was not what I expect in hospitality, she said we do not do reservations you are on a waitlist.

Do after being in the restaurant for close to an hour with a reservation I still was not seated. My elderly parents could no.longer stand. The hostess never gave us updates even though we were literally standing in the hallway she passed through multiple times. They never as much as offered a glass of water.

I called Pulcinella in Wading River and they were able to seat us. We went there and were treated exactly how I expect to be treated by a restaurant and their staff.

So I was super excited to try this restaurant because it was highly recommended ti me… we made reservations for a Sunday at 4:30 we arrived at 4:34 (a party of 6 ) and were told that they only had bar seats for us!! They gave our table to another party !! Um excuse me we r 4 min late there is always a grace period of 10-15 min at any other restaurant . Needless to say I am completely disappointed in this place and will not be returning. it was just myself and my husband and a party of two I would’ve sat at the bar but how do you have an Italian dinner for six people at the bar completely disgusted with their hospitality and the way they treated us for being four minutes past our reservation time

Been many times and have always enjoyed the food, but on the last occasion they were incredibly rude and inhospitable. I showed up with my in-laws, wife, and 6-year old daughter for a 5 o’clock reservation on Saturday night. We were then told that they wouldn’t be able to seat us for another 45-minutes. We left and went to 18 Bay Cafe where they provided great service and food. Note: this appears to be a constant problem – they clearly do not give a shit about their customers. 0 stars

This place is a hidden gem. The portions are huge and delicious! The owner came to make sure everything was going well. This is how an Italian restaurant should be! 10/10. Definitely recommend!

I never write reviews, but I have to for this restaurant. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. My party of 6 had made a reservation a week prior for 8 PM, the day of, we called a few hours before just to double check they had our reservation, and they said “Yes, we will see you at 8”. We get there a few minutes past 8 and the staff tells us our table isn’t ready yet and has us stand and wait in front of the bathroom as there is no waiting area. They don’t give us an approximate wait time or seem apologetic whatsoever. We assume the wait would be only a few minutes, but instead we waited a whole HOUR. The entire time the staff completely ignored us, didn’t check up on us, and gave us dirty looks. So incredibly disrespectful. We didn’t get seated until 9 PM – their closing time. They did not apologize a single time for making us wait and the worst part was the FOOD WAS NOT WORTH THE WAIT. It was so incredibly MID. I would never ever go here again nor would I recommend it to anyone. They genuinely do not respect their customers or their customers time and experience.

Excellent choice just outside of Riverhead. Delicious pasta and seafood dishes by Sicilian-born chef Gambino. We loved our table on the porch in the lovely late summer weather. The Flounder Oreganata was excellent and came with a large side dish of pasta – in our case we chose linguine with clam sauce. The clams were large and flecked with olive and herbs. The pan-fried scallops were similarly mouth-watering. We’ll be back.
