Stopped into Cuisine of the Himalayas in Evergreen and ordered the Everest chai with rum and the Sherpa stew with naan. Great choices all around.

The chai was warm, spiced just right, and smooth, and the rum added a subtle kick without overpowering the flavor. The Sherpa stew was hearty, comforting, and had really good spice levels. Flavorful without being overwhelming. Exactly what you want after a cold Colorado day. The naan was fresh and soft, perfect for soaking up every last bit of the broth.

Cozy atmosphere, attentive service, and food that fits the mountain setting perfectly.

Great food to have at this place. We had lamb and chicken Tikka masala (they have to do the americanized creamy version for the local palate).
Very attentive staff , nice setting at the place.
Perfect to go have a meal after skiing or any outdoor around.

We ordered butter naan with chicken curry. Popadam was served as an appetizer. I ordered chicken soup and it was really good. Chicken curry was very different from the Indian chicken curries maybe it’s a Nepalese recipe. The atmosphere was very nice and service was also quite good. The staff is friendly. Honestly I don’t know the difference between Indian and Nepalese cuisine. Don’t expect the Indian flavors from food with the same Indian name from this place. Overall I’m happy with their service.

First time here and the food was very good. The staff were friendly and attentive, offering good service. Three of us shared our meals and each of us agreed all the meals could be ordered on our next visit. We are kind of picky and this restaurant was a pleasant surprise! Thank you Cuisine of the Himalayas for a very pleasant dining experience.

Worst nepali food in Colorado. They like to call it Biryani but it was merely a turmeric rice fried with capsicum and green peas. Our lips and teeth all stained yellow due to their overly used turmeric in food. We also ordered Chow Chow veggie but all that the plate had were capsicums and peas. I told our server to complain about it to chef but they told that its difficult to get a chef in that area so no complaints. Paid $45 for having the worst food in town. No sorry nothing!! They were even saying that Americans would not know the taste so its good for them. Seriously! I would recommend people to go to another restaurant in Golden instead if you really want to try authentic Nepali food.

Had a good experience overall with my husband.
He ordered the chicken vindaloo which we both thought was just okay.
However the chicken tikka masala that I ordered we both loved.
We tried the garlic naan as a side and it was good.
We tried the rice pudding (which was very watery. I would pass on that one if you’re looking at desserts.
We also tried the gulab jamun and it was good but I don’t feel inclined to get it again.

We’d both come back for the chicken tikka.

The restaurant also had nice views so that was a bonus.

1st time. Most of our group tried the basic buffet. Several chicken and vegetarian choices and salad/soup options. A little pricey for light eaters but good flavors.

Went on a Saturday night and it wasn’t the greatest.

Great flavor and spice levels but it was very hard for me to finish my vegetable korma which tasted more like a dessert than a savory meal.

The masala sauce was overly sugary as well which really stole the overall taste of the entire meal for myself.

Their dinner menu food is fantastic, in fact its my favorite Indian / Nepalese restaurant for dinner. Their buffet is actually bad though. Its very minimal, barely warm, and barely flavored. Super disappointing buffet.
