We absolutely love this place – we’ve been just the two of us, as well as with our kiddos and large groups. The drink menu is top notch, crafted with care, and the raw bar and coastal inspired menu is all local seafood shipped several days a week from Boston. Easily one of the best seafood spots in Burlington. In the warmer months, the outdoor seating and fire pits are perfect with views of the lake!

The Original Skiff is a winner. The flexibility in our reservation and our time constraint was super helpful. The server was knowledgeable and friendly. The food was super fresh and tasty. The tinned mackeral app was delicious and the lobster rolls were the very best we had all summer. 10/10! Highly recommend for dates, groups and families. *Attached parking garage is a plus.

Great cocktails, amazing food, and something different then what’s offered in the majority of the time.
I’ve had the best raw clams here than anywhere else in a New England port town.
The menu is pretty consistent and they always throw in some fun Easter egg to find on their special board.
It’s an elegant fish fry spot with great raw fish preparations. Is it pricy? Of course. But who wants to eat cheap seafood?
The banana pudding dessert served in a fish bowl makes me salivate thinking about it.
Also the booths are fun for 4 guests- paired with a martini and some raw shellfish you will have yourself a great night!

Came here for the Wednesday night music and food special. It was a lovely experience. Both the food and service was great. The atmosphere was amazing, and the live blue grass was the cherry on top. Highly recommend the hush puppies and the JoyRide cocktail! I also really appreciated the parking garage connected parking garage since parking in the winter can be tricky in Burlington. Will definitely be back!

Looking for seafood, we tried the Original Skiff in the Hotel Champlain. We had an early reservation on a Friday night and were seated immediately. It looked like walk-ins would have no problem getting a table.
We ordered drinks and a dozen oysters. The oysters arrived very quickly and seemed like they had been pre-shucked, missing the freshness we appreciate.
We ordered the Lobster Agnolotti and Grilled Swordfish. The lobster dish was light on lobster and the sauce overwhelmed it. The swordfish (special) was tasty, a bit on the small side, with a nice sauce and good sides.
Pleasant experience.

We arrived there on a Monday night for the happy hour oysters, which were spectacular.
Our waiter Moses was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, and kind.
He went the extra mile, answered all questions,his recommendations were excellent. Our cocktails were also very enjoyable. We ended up having Complete dinner with Caesar salad and Pan seared fish of the day, which was excellent.
This was accompanied with the local mushrooms and the vegetables of the day.
We really enjoyed our time and I will definitely be back.

After a long car ride to Burlington, we checked into the hotel and were ready for a nice meal. We weren’t in the mood to go find somewhere so we decided to try Original Skiff Fish & Oysters right at our hotel. I loved the modern style of the restaurant so I was pleased right from the get-go. We got the fish fry and Skiff burger. Both were very delicious! The frys were well seasoned (yummy), and our server was spectacular. I was really happy with the choice of mocktails in addition to the normal fare of regular mixed alcoholic beverages – I kind of wish they could of made a chocolate martini though! Overall, it was an exceptional experience.

My fiancé and I went to Original Skiff for dinner the day after Valentine’s Day. We had an absolutely amazing experience. I am allergic to gluten and dairy and the chef was able to accommodate me. We ordered the oysters and the steamed clams which were both delicious and fresh as can be! We both ordered the Swordfish Entree served with butternut squash, oyster mushrooms, and an orange sauce. This was the best entree I have had in a restaurant in a long time. It was truly delicious. I ordered a mocktail which was delicious and not overly sweet. My fiancé loved the Joyride cocktail and said the key lime pie was as good if not better than the original key lime pie from Key West. The restaurant also had excellent service! Mel was our server and she was truly excellent, as was the male host, and everyone who stopped by our table. Bravo Mel and Original Skiff! We can’t wait to come back!
