Really good Mexican food in Cottage Grove isn’t always easy to find (despite numerous Mexican restaurants and food trucks). Rosita’s Taqueria is, in my opinion, the best option for fresh, tasty, and fairly authentic Mexican food. Friendly service too!

Despite being on a busy street corner, Rosita’s manages to create a closed-off area for customers to eat in relative peace. There is a television to watch, and excellent folks at the counter who clearly love their craft.
Months ago, I came and had a pretty yummy torta and a delicious asada plate (juicy, succulent meat and plenty of sides).
Today I had the best torta I have had overall in both Cottage Grove AND Eugene.
The torta bread is fluffy; the chicken is well- seasoned, juicy, and present in every bite; the toppings are plentiful and excellently balanced in flavor and texture between beans, lettuce, and pickled vegetables.
I will be back, and I look forward to watching these kind, capable, dedicated folks grow their business and enrich our community.

I don’t typically leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing for several reasons.
We placed a fairly large order, and while it did take over 45 minutes to receive our food, we understood that longer wait times can happen with bigger orders. That in itself was not the main issue.
When placing our order, we clearly stated twice to the person taking it, and once directly to the cook that we did not want salsa or cilantro on anything. We were assured each time that it was noted. However, when we received our food, three items still had both cilantro and salsa. While mistakes happen, and they did offer to remake the items, the situation that followed was what truly left a negative impression.
The cook began speaking harshly and yelling at the employee who took our order, blaming her for how the ticket was written and saying it was confusing. This was done openly in front of customers and felt extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. We had personally communicated the same instructions directly, so it was upsetting to see staff treated that way.
Unfortunately, they had run out of fries and were unable to remake the carne asada fries, which was the item we were most looking forward to. Overall, the food itself was mediocre and did not justify the experience.
I genuinely wanted to support a local food truck, but this visit was disappointing. Having worked in the restaurant industry for years, I understand that mistakes happen, but how management handles them and treats staff makes all the difference. Improving order communication systems and fostering a more respectful work environment would go a long way.

Attempting to finish off a Birria Burrito supreme. The thing is huge and loaded with flavor. Very glad I stopped in. This will be my new go to. $10 and I am pretty sure I got two tasty meals here. Super friendly people working. Give the place a try, I think you’ll like it!!!

Really good food from a simple food cart right in the heart of cottage grove. Very friendly staff that are excited to be there to serve you. Got the breakfast burritos and Huevos a la Mexicans which did not disappoint. The salsa verde is fantastic, don’t skip on this.
