The Crab Platter which was grilled/boiled seafood was really good. On our second visit we had jumbo shrimp which had way too much breading and the gumbo which was mostly rice and sausage but the roux was really good. The seafood mac n cheese is our favorite. Be prepared to spend at least $25.

Magnificent! I dont even think this word I can think of the describe the good that I just ingested. This was our first time ordering from here and we will definitely return for more business. The prices are even unbelievable. We ordered the fried lobster platter which cake with seafood mac and cheese and sweet potato casserole. ALL THAT FOR $26.50?! We also ordered the crab leg platter which came with corn and sausage for ONLY $20! The butter sauce was like nothing I had ever tasted before. I am in love with shell city and you will be too! Oh yeah and I forgot to tell you guys how quick the service was. All done in 15 minutes. There was only one guy working there and he was nice, fast, and efficient. Thank you.

Ordered through a delivery service and the food was superb. Huge portions (I wound up with at least a pound of the seafood mac). Delicious and vibrant flavors, and plenty of butter. Absolutely fantastic.

First off, the food at Shell City is by far the best seafood I’ve had in all of Saint Louis! I ordered the crawfish platter and it did not disappoint. It came with crawfish, sausage, corn and potatoes. I was able to split it between two people and we were both satisfied with the amount of food that came with it. The only reason I have to give Shell City 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because of the establishment itself. It’s a pretty hip and quaint location. But having to physically bend over and order through a hole cut in the wall is not ideal. Also the prices listed on the menu are not the same price that is charged on checkout is slightly annoying also. Overall I would recommend Shell City to everyone, and I will be coming back again!

The crab legs here are so fire! Not too much of a fan of the corn, sausage, and potatoes though. Always have speedy service when I call my order in. If you call the order in, they require you to pay over the phone and present your card and ID upon pick up, which isn’t a problem for me.

Staff was super friendly. The price is fairly reasonable for the amount of food you get. The seasoning alone on the crab legs is enough to make you want to go back. Potato melted like butter in your mouth. Corn was juicy. I forgot I didn’t even need butter honestly! It was not a disappointment!

If at all possible I wouldn’t have even gave them one star. 1st of all the corn was EXTREMELY hard as if they gave me the corn they served from 2018 Thanksgiving. Also the potatoes where cut in half and old. THIS DEFINITELY IS NOT ALL WHAT FOLKS HYPE THEM UP TO BE! The customer service is garbage and so was the food. The food was so bad, i asked for a refund and they refused to give my money back. After they refused to give my money back, I decided to leave the food right there with them and I had spent like 70 dollars. They give you the huge foil pans of frozen Aldis seafood, with country crock spread with old bay seasoning in it! The shrimp DEFINITELY wasn’t jumbo and the sausage taste like they purchased it from save a lot off the meat clearance rack. The ONLY thing that was good was the sweet potatoe casserole (which they didn’t have the toppings for). I probably would eat dog food before they EVER got a dime from me again! King Crab is DEFINITELY going to put them out of business HOPEFULLY!

The food is pretty good. But, the waiting area is dirty. I was there shortly after opening and the glass door, windows and service counter was filthy as if it hadn’t been cleaned in days. The floor was filled with dirty footsteps, crumbs and dust piled up in the corners as if the floors hadn’t been properly cleaned in weeks. From what I could see of the back, it wasn’t much better. All of this, regardless of the food, makes me not want to visit again.

It was decent but not “fire”. Customer service was excellent I must say, and the wait was not long. We got the shrimp, potatoes, and corn platter, and also a lobster tail platter. The shrimp platter was good, but the lobster platter was only average. The sweet potato casserole was way too sweet. I’d visit again but wouldn’t get the lobster again.
