Best Regards Bakery & Cafe is seriously good. My mom, who lives in Kansas City, recommended it, and I stopped by while visiting for the summer. The second you walk in, it smells amazing — warm cinnamon, fresh bread, all the right things.
We had grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch and they were fantastic. The cinnamon rolls are a must and you can easily freeze them and reheat at home.
We took home a key lime tart and more cinnamon rolls, and my mom swears their chocolate layer cake tastes just like her mom’s recipe. The best thing I had was the biscuits. Soft, buttery, and perfect.
Prices were totally reasonable and I’d definitely go back. Big shout out to the staff here too, especially the guy behind the counter. He was super friendly and helpful, and just made the whole experience even better. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and the customer bathroom is clean.

The food is very good! My favorites are the broccoli and cheese soup and ceasar salad.The burger setup they have now outside is what pushed this from 4 stars to 5. So so good. The inside sitting area can feel a little crowded at times but there is outside seating too. I love their creative sugar cookies too.

I love the food and it is so filling. My favorite is the beer cheese soup. My daughter always orders the espinaca grilled cheese sandwich. I have never been disappointed with anything I order. The cookies are so good! Not too sweet and festively decorated.

I ordered two king cakes online to kick off Carivale season. When I went to pick up the next day, they could not locate my order and quickly realized it had been missed for the morning. Queue my feelings of disappointment, as this was my first visit to the bakery. One cake was meant as a gift, but I remained calm and patient.
The owner quickly offered to bake and hand deliver later in the afternoon. I took him up on the offer and meanwhile, purchased two frosted sugar cookies for the road. MY. GOODNESS. THE COOKIES WERE INCREDIBLE.
The king cakes arrived a couple hours later, fresh as can be. I want to commend them for how they resolved problem expeditiously.
And the best part…the king cakes DID NOT disappoint this former NOLA resident! 10/10 ⚜️

We stopped in for breakfast over the weekend. There were plenty of seats inside and outside. We ordered at the counter and our meal was brought to the table. Coffee was self-service.
My wife had a breakfast sandwich and I had a half order of B&G with an over easy egg. We ordered some pastries to go.
I’m glad I didn’t get a full order. The biscuit was much bigger in person than they appeared in photos. Overall we enjoyed our entrees. I would have enjoyed mine a bit more if the towering biscuit was split before the gravy was added. The gravy was pepper forward and thick with large chunks of sausage. In a rare moment for me, I felt like my entree could have used more seasoning.
Overall we enjoyed the pastries. The pillow of frosting on the cinnamon roll was a unique touch.

Turkey club was great. The thin slices of white bread were perfectly lightly toasted, bacon perfectly crisp, and the oven roasted turkey juicy.
I love how they individually seal-wrap their cookies. The chocolate chip cookie was pretty good, but it was overloaded with chocolate chips, which made it too sweet for me. The apple pie cookie and oatmeal toffee were just the right amount of sweetness and were delicious. The cookies are thick, tender, and cakey on the cookie texture scale.
I agree with a few reviews that the prices are on the high side, but I don’t mind occasionally spending more at local businesses. I’ll certainly be back to try other items.

Great little spot! We have been searching for our new local bakery since moving five years ago and found it here! Great fresh food including sandwiches, salads, desserts, and other baked goods. Staff is super friendly and helpful, even in a rush. Cute and cozy inside with seasonal decor.

This little known gem has been around for a long time and I just discovered this time last year. The owner an OG foodie lover many of the old establishments that made up good food in KC. They make the absolute best sugar cookies for any occasion and the food as well as the rest of bakery items are delicious and comforting. While we were there you noticed many of the visitors are regulars. I’m so glad we found this place it’s a must go delightful Cafe & bakery.

This place is delicious and probably has the best sugar cookies I’ve ever had. Me and my wife got a dozen of the small sugar cookies the other day and almost ate the whole box one afternoon. I haven’t had their lunch yet but if it’s as good as their sweets, then it’s going to taste amazing. I also love that they always have new cookie designs every week. Anytime there’s a big movie coming out, they usually have themed cookies.
