Food is fairly good but the service is horrible and makes it not worth going to. We have been there twice now and both times despite and empty restaurant it took over 30 minutes to get food. We even called ahead to place an order and the food still took a total of 45 minutes to get ready (despite them telling us 15 minutes). On top of that, most of the food was burned and inedible. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place to anyone despite decent food.

***The whole place smells like Pee***

I used to love this place, been here few times. However, recently the cleanliness and hygiene of this place has been questionable. The whole place smells like pee and it’s disgusting. Was contemplating if I should’ve packed my food after placing order for dine in.

The food quality also went down recently. I got Vadapav, and the portion size decreased significantly. Although the Vada was made fresh, the Pav tasted old. This might be my last time coming here, which is unfortunate given how much I liked their food.

This restaurant is so affordable and they have new offers Buy 2 for $12 is great and buy 2 wraps offer is even better. Highly recommended. Taste is on point always. My go to place when I feel low

I decided to stop in after seeing the 4.4 rating overall expecting a positive experience, but I was disappointed.
I tried the Mysore masala and it was not good. It was too thick and was oddly stuffed with one half potato and the other half with beets(??). I’ve never heard of anyone making masala dosa with beets!!
The sambar was overly salty with excess amounts of tamarind and was borderline unpalatable. The chutney wasn’t any better and tasted cold and stale. It felt like the cook never had a good dosa before and has no idea on how it should taste. I would not go back.
Edit: I had ordered the samosa to go which wasn’t too bad, but it’s quite possible it’s not made in-house.

I was recommended Tuk Tuk Indian Street Food, and honestly, it did not disappoint! The prices were pretty solid, especially for a city-style restaurant, and the food was so good. We tried a bunch of different things—veggie spring rolls, dosa, paneer burji wrap, veggie sandwich, gulab jamun, mango lassi—and honestly, everything was delicious. Like, I’d order all of it again.

My top favorites were definitely the mango lassi, gulab jamun, spring rolls, dosa, and the veggie uttapam. Everything was super flavorful and tasted so fresh. Some of the dishes had a bit of a kick, so if you like spicy food, you’ll definitely enjoy it here.

The atmosphere is very casual, with around 6-7 tables inside. It’s bright, colorful, and has a fun vibe. You order at the counter, and they bring the food out to you. The service was good—nothing over the top, but everything came out fresh and in a timely manner.

If you’re craving Indian street food, I’d highly recommend checking this place out. Great flavors, fresh food, and a chill vibe—definitely worth it!

If there were an option for zero stars, this place would still feel over-rated.

This was easily the worst food experience I’ve had in Chicago, and that one star is only because the platform won’t let me give less.

We ordered chole bhature, and the bhature seemed to be running an identity crisis half of them were swimming in oil while the rest were undercooked. The chole tasted stale, like reheated MTR packaged food, except somehow worse.

The grilled sandwich deserves a special mention. The potato filling was sour, clearly spoiled, and then aggressively covered in cheese presumably to distract customers from the fact that it shouldn’t be eaten. When we asked for tomato ketchup, we were told they don’t provide ketchup for sandwiches but could give mayo instead ‍ ️ Truly revolutionary. Somewhere, sandwiches are offended.

The veg bowl was just bland rice topped with the same questionable chole, proving consistency unfortunately, in bad taste.

Overall, this place deserves stars only in the sense that it’s impressive how badly food can be made. Save your money, your appetite, and possibly your stomach. Avoid this place unless disappointment is what you’re craving.

Cute little place! Their menu is huge. The pani puri, chicken tikka roll and the Bombay grill sandwich were really good, flavorful, must try. Overall none that we had was at all spicy and the portions were small, overpriced. Food came quick.

No frills, counter service establishment for authentic Indian street food. The mysore dosa had a nice toasty flavor with a good subtle tang though it was overly crispy in some spots. The mysore paste was decent: mildly spicy and garlicky. The potato filling was tasty but had an unnatural shade of red potentially from food coloring. The sambar was flavorful and the usage of drumstick/moringa was an impressive authentic element. However, it leaned a bit oily and could’ve used more tang. The coconut chutney had a pleasant kick of spice but the strong taste of rancid oil really threw it off. Samosa chaat was fantastic with the most hearty, delicious chole and generous toppings. The curries here were mediocre. Come for the street food and you wouldn’t be disappointed.

Have you ever had pani puri and sahi puri that looked this adorable and delicious at the same time, if not then you have to try them at TUK TUK. We had Bombay sandwich, pani puri, dahi puri, dabeli, and all of them were delicious. Pani puri comes with a nice warm Ragda and refreshing and flavorful pani and Gor-imi chutney, each bite was a delight. aTrue indian street food flavors, place is nice and clean, and the service was nice and fast. Try this cute Indian/Pakistani street food place for sure!
