Food portions were excellent based on the price charged. Delivery of food could be better. Took too long for order of two people when we were the second table eating in the whole restaurant. This was a Friday afternoon at 1:00 pm. My mom’s food was on point. My carne asada was cold in the middle. The Caipirinha was on point. Waiter asked if I wanted to warm it up but I elected not to since it already too long to get served. All in all I would return to give them a second chance

The food was good other than the steak, as a Brazilian bbq the bare minimum is making a good steak, we asked for 3 picanhas all medium, one came medium well, the other two were completely well done to the point where they were dry and tough to chew, its something so basic that for a Brazilian restaurant that charges you $32 for a picanha, youd think theyd know how to cook one, we didnt even bother complaining because we already waited a solid 30 minutes get our food after we ordered which also took a while. The ambience was good, service couldve been a bit better, the steaks were just not good, I wouldnt come here again for steaks, the drinks were great though, so as a bar I think its a good option.

Pleasant ambiance and live music. This is more of a restaurant type of place but it offers live Brazilian music on weekends but in a quieter vibe, no dancing. Good Brazilian food including appetizers and cold beer, all with decent prices. My wife ordered something they didn’t have on the menu and they were able to make it and it was delicious. It is located in a relatively quiet area with easy parking on a Saturday evening. Note that the best time to go on a Saturday night is around 8, 8:30pm since they close shortly after midnight.

Update. I’m removing one star because during my last 2 visits the waitress was very pushy trying to get my wife to order a drink and when my wife said she was driving and could not drink alcohol the waitress kept trying to get her to order a virgin cocktail even though my wife said no multiple times. They seem a little desperate trying to sell stuff.

Upscale. Great food! Great staff! Outstanding live music! Any restaurant I have visited in which you see the owner working hard along side the staff & engaging the crowd table by table making sure everything is ok, was a great one. Brasas Grill Bar & Restaurant is a gem of grassroots & culture. I recommend this family friendly place to all.

Amazing food! Great service and environment as well. We ordered the grilled squid with vegetable spaghetti and short ribs. It was very delicious and the churros with caramel sauce was also amazing. Definitely will be going back!

I had gone to Brasas Grill Bar last week around lunch-time. Service was very good; my friend and I were seated almost immediately. From my photo, you can see that I ordered the “Steak and Shrimp”, which is priced at $22.99. Maybe I come from an american mindset, but when I picture Steak, I envision steak? The steak portion of the “Steak and Shrimp” were pieces of cut meat — not steak. Don’t get me wrong, the food was delicious; the meat just caught me by surprise.

In any case service and food were 4 stars. The missing star is simply because some people could be confused by the name of a menu item.

Food is amazing for the most part, service is adequate but not outstanding, atmosphere is a bit cold, and doesn’t hint at the above average food you will be enjoying.

Prices at first glance may appear high, but for the quality, not to mention the ample portions served, it really winds up to be quite the bargain.

They offer an all you can eat Brazilian BBQ option, but I didn’t see anyone wandering around with the typical skewers of meat, and sides bar appeared closed. So instead I opted for the Grilled Sampler for one. When the platter came out I thought they had accidentally given me the sampler for two. The meats were all perfectly grilled, the fried Yucca was exquisite. Fried plantains was sweet and delicious, The only disappointment were the French fries, which tasted like reheated frozen supermarket fries. But since everything else was so fantastic, it was easy to overlook this one little thing. My dining partner got the mushroom steak, and like my meal was ample in portion sizes and flavors that were amazing.

Definitely a worthwhile place to enjoy some fabulous Brazilian food. And bring your appetite.

Fresh food served over a grill, live music that just gives a very Brazilian atmosphere that makes it feel like eating back at home . The meats are very tender and juicy

Good food, friendly staff, live music, good mixed drinks, clean place … and for me, very close to home. Dont have to drive to Newark all the time… Althought the servers took my plate away before I was done eating… I didnt mind paying $22 on a Friday for all you can eat… Boa sorte Brasas

Awful place. Service is not friendly if you are not Brazilian. Ordered at the bar, Ordered Clams in Garlic. Got empty clam shells in garlic soup, if that’s not bad enough, out of bread? Be ready for the live Brazilian folk songs, so loud i had a headache before the hangover. Thank goodness for the Lava Smoke shop 1/2 block away
